I have a avenger 22. Its accurate at 50 yards but at 100 yards it shoots about 1 foot to the right. Even if I sight it a little to the left at 30 yards it still shoots a little to the right at 100.
Any ideas?

My best friend in New Mexico has an Avenger synthetic.22 cal. He shoots Prairie dogs at 150 + yards with extreme accuracy. Need a little more information to help
Do you have a Chronograph? I don't , so I watch reviews on you tube , and see what the most accurate pellet is. What weight pellets you using, what is reg set at , how old is rifle , did you clean it , and how did you clean it . Do you use a Moderator , and what size is it.
One of the variables above might help me to help you.

Unexpected lateral shifts at a distance are usually some combination of wind and cant error.

I shoot quite a bit. It’s off my back patio. It’s pretty consistent. So it makes me believe it’s not the wind.

Check the scope , and rings very carefully. Make sure it is level , and the ring gap is even as possible on each side. Good luck

Put level on your scope. I have them on all my rifles. You can then be sure you are at least holding the rifle consistently.

I guess this gives me an excuse to buy a scope level. I’ve always just eyeball on all my high-power rifles and never had a problem, but I’ll try it.

I’ve always used a couple different ways to get as close as I can… one is just using a perfectly vertical reference and making sure the scope and bore are straight up and down and positioning the vertical crosshairs in alignment with the vertical reference… another is to use a plump bob…

I would swap out the scope rings. Then give it a try. Easy to eliminate that possibility quick.
Even better if you have another scope and rings that could be tested. Then you probably know if it is the rifle or optics. Some times finding the problem, it just eliminating possibilities. Good luck.
