I read and studied every post on GX compressors and went with the cs2. I was amazed at how fast it filled my Notos from 1000 psi. No more hand pumping and alot more shooting. Shooting this summer will be less sweaty this year. Any tips on maintenance to keep it running smooth. Mark

Target Forge offers two different lubes for the GX compressors and produced a video on lubing the GX CS2. The lube it comes with is "food grade" but Target Forge recommends a different grease for the pin in the piston and the gearcase. I have both but haven't used them yet.

I don't think I will have that problem with my guns, they are all 3600 or less on max pressure. It only took a few seconds more to fill my Notos than it took to do a dead head test, less than 30 seconds. I stocked just for this occasion. MarkDon't over heat it and buy more pellets.

I've read here that some folks use Super Lube for the Gx CS2. I have that on hand, has anyone had any problems to speak of ?

I use this "Red" grease for the pin and gears. I don't think there is a magic version better than any other high tack gear grease. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0053O9FQS?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
Although, the factory gear grease is a serious pain to remove from the gear case! If I hadn't already been inside of it I would have left it alone. It'll last a good long time... Think peanut butter mixed with some insane glue like substance. Not really water soluble. Gota slowooooly scrape it out, bit by bit!

Great compressors. Mine surpassed two years going strong in March. Like mentioned target forge has some maintenance videos. Super easy to do once in awhile. Pop the head off add a little food grade grease to the upper. Remove the black plug from the cylinder and add a little grease to the HP rings on piston rod. Then c clip pliers to remove the piston connecting pin and hit that with axle grease. Oh in the bottom there is a large bolt. Remove that and clean the check valve parts in there. Just keep in mind these do not need much grease. Use it lightly.

I was very worried about the quality after looking at tons of reviews of these cheaper pumps giving out after only a year or 2 if you are lucky. I ended up getting a GX cs3 and was surprised how robust it was. I expected it to struggle to pump, rattle around and be cheap in general but I was pleasantly surprised once I got it and tried it out.
