RAW Rapid Raw HM1000X: Damned moderator

Hi everyone,
Not long ago, I got a RAW HM1000x in .22 caliber with the integrated moderator (unfortunately), not the offset version. The issue I'm having is that it's pretty loud, since the built-in moderator is basically useless—and there's not much information online.

I know DonnyFL sells an adapter, but I don’t want to add more weight to the barrel by attaching a big moderator like the Ronin along with the adapter. After contacting RAW USA, they told me I could remove the integrated moderator and use a longer carbon fiber shroud with a threaded 1/2 UNF end cap they sell.

So here are my questions, especially since it’s impossible for me to send the rifle from Spain to the US:

1. Is it difficult to remove the integrated moderator? I believe it’s secured with some epoxy and set screws. Will it come off with heat?

2. After removing the moderator, I also need to take off the original carbon fiber shroud. My question is the same—can it be removed easily? Are there simple methods to take it off? Can heat be safely applied to the carbon shroud if that’s the only way?

3. Given all these complications, I considered buying a new barrel for the RAW HM1000X. RAW USA told me they can’t ship barrels to Spain, and I haven’t been able to find RAW barrels anywhere. They don’t seem to be sold in stores. Can anyone tell me where to find a RAW or at least a compatible barrel?

Any help is much appreciated. It’s surprising how little information is out there for such an extraordinary air rifle.

If you can get 16mm barrel "Blanks" from Lothar Walther, or perhaps HW blanks from Silco Sports in the UK, Or Russian ALFA blanks ? get the minor machining required done domestically.
Basically a build your own and then add on a shroud or LDC of choice. Perhaps a HUMA unit from NL ?

I really appreciate your help, Motorhead. Just to fine-tune the search: the barrel of the RAW HM1000X is 16 mm in diameter and polygonal with 6 grooves, right? And it's choked?

I don’t have any experience with the RAW moderator. Though it sounds like it should be easy enough to remove with a bit of heat. FWIW I actually broke the bond between the carbon fiber sleeve and the barrel by accidentally tightening a moderator too much. If you can remove the mod & the sleeve it sounds like getting a new sleeve and adapter would be the cheapest route. I run the Impulse Air 1350 (with an extra baffle) on my full power HM1000x slug gun. It is light and quiet.

Funny thing is my RAW sleeve blew off the end of the barrel after a shot. I also use a 1350 impulse air moderator. It didn’t hurt the baffles in the moderator luckily. I called raw to see what glue to use but Rachel had to consult a tech , so I just used jb weld and glued it back on and not be as ham fisted. Green 3M glue of some type is the glue they recommend. My raw came without that factory installed one. It’s also quiet with an extra baffle as well.
