I jumped in with both feet, now what?

I agree with the list above.
I would also add... Research what you will need to reseal the guns when problems arise because they will. Stock up on those seals/kits before they go obsolete. Grab some of the proper lubes while you're at it.
If you go with a compressor do the same for that as well.
Having a compressor is a great convenience until it breaks. Then you quickly learn how much you've become to depend on it.
If you go with a tank, make sure your choice for a compressor is capable of filling it.
Welcome to the rabbit hole.

The toauto compressors aren't bad, id get one to keep as a spare if you get a cs4 only because the toauto is so cheap. My cs4 died and the backup chinesium is still kicking. Scbas, maybe a real dive compressor if one crossed your path for cheap. Orings, silicone oil, all the money you had hidden away somewhere.

Welcome to airguns!

You have a couple of nice ones (to start 😉 ) and you'll need suitable (for your applications) scopes for them.

Research the pellets that trend to work well in those rifles and start with those. You will likely want to test other pellets in the future to see if you can get better accuracy, but for now, keep it simple and get to know the airguns.

If you shoot a lot a compressor of a blessing to have. A second hand SCUBA is a reasonable source of High Pressure Air (HPA) but a 4500 psi Carbon Fiber tank is (IMHO) a wise thing to invest in, you will end up with one eventually 😀

If you get into tuning (a hobby in itself), you will need a chronograph. The cheap ones work fine, ...so do the expensive ones. A set of good quality tools dedicated for your airguns is recommended.

I'd wait on getting "accessories" until you know what you need and what level you want to buy into. For example, a shooting bag you can make for a couple of bucks works as well as a $500 bipod. Just saying.

The cautions about airgunning being a money pit are justified (I have 25+ airguns) IF you don't have self constraint. Truthfully, I've got 4 or 5 times the money "invested" in fishing gear than shooting stuff so "expensive" is a relative thing.

Good luck! Shoot safe!

Cheers!

Hi all.

I have had an RWS 48 for years. I have wanted a CPC for awhile. Got click/bid happy. Bought a FX Monsoon and FX Gladiator, both 22 cal (my background is shooting prairie dogs and clay targets).

What should I start gathering up?
Scuba tank, compressor fittings

Thanks
Ballistol, silicone o ring grease, silicone oil, cleaning supplies. Bore mops, brass rod. Tuxing twin cylinder water cooled compressor. 6.8L Scba tank ebay. Saber tactical tank valve. 40 inch plus hose with female fittings. Fill your own tank. Quality metric allen wrenches, and driver bit metric allens( bits fit tighter than keys do)

I recently bought a GX CS2 from the GX website for $250 delivered. I was surprised at how well it works. Very portable which is what I wanted for my second compressor (I've had a Yong Heng for 4 years and it works fine). The YH fills my expired fireman's Scott bottle. I still like my bottle but the 3 minute or so wait on the CS2 is pretty livable.

I have both clamp on and tripod chronograph from China. $20-$30 dollars and work well.

Lubes and tools are good suggestions too.

Arken or discovery optics scope

Thanks for all the helpful info. I have a lot of the shooting and measuring stuff from shooting benchrest.

The PCP deal is new, I did not research as much as I should have. Looks like I got some reading to do. I did not know both are semi auto.

Now I start gathering things up.

Compressor first. I got a line on SCBA fiberglass tank

Thanks again. I’ll be back with mor questions as they come up.

With a SCBA tank you need a fill set. Sometimes they come together. And at least a YH or GX CS4 compressor. I have the space but not everybody seems to. The GX CS2 is a complete setup and still handy if you later get a bottle and compressor to fill it. 15 lbs which is lighter than my bottle and takes up less space. I like having both options.

Ammo and air storage being semi auto. Guns will be your friend. Super cool pieces and I hope you have a ton of fun.
