What did you do airgun related today.

I finished roughing out the clamp on stock for the 170cc air cylinder I adapted to the back of my .177 Panthera Hunter Compact. Still need to clean it up, bead blast it, and anodize. Credit for the idea goes to tdhouser. He may or may not have been the first, but his sweet Panthera was the first one I saw using the FX 170cc cylinder as a base for the stock.

Took my Flash pup out to ring some steel. Then I got side tracked with picking up dog poop. One of my dogs saw me cleaning up and decided to leave me a fresh one to pick up. Short story, long, Walmart bag I was using to pick up the turds broke and I got dog poop on my hands. DANG IT!!! Now I go in and take a shower because I'm crazy like that. Then I got dressed and whew all of that poop... Now I gotta go. Let me open AGN and see what's going on.....and here I am.

Haven't actually got to shoot yet!!???

Gave up on heavy (13.4+) pellets From the Katran. 10gr way to go If not using ko mk 3s

whacked 11 starlings, 3 Hs, and a grackle woops.Damn thing caught the Light in a way that made the beak look yellow. Similar iridescent black coat. Sorry buddy, guilt by association plucked them all off the hollly shrubs near a feed and water station at an equine rehab “farm”. the amount of cowbirds had my fingers itching so bad, if it weren’t for john law I’d eradicate every example of the species Unlucky enough to come within 125y, Brood parasite scum. my partner did just as well with 9 ES, 1 HS, and a rat

Here is something to laugh about guys, for many ( too many ) months i have tried on / off to put a 6 X 1.5 NBR 90 O ring into the firering valve of my Two.

But i will have to admit i just can not do it, i think in total over the months i have probably spent the better part of a full work day trying to get that SOB in there.
But i think it take some voodoo skill i do not posses.

6id or od?

6 OD use a 6mm dowel with a very flat end

9 OD use the tube of a ballpoint pen. Obviously line the oring Up with the plastic circumference of the pen tube. And push with ease. It will Snap into the channel

Look up “Microdermal Insert forceps“

you can buy different sized conical tipped tools. Place the oring over the prong and. Open and close as needed. These are a god sent. As well as different hemostats and sponge forceps. For reaching awful positions.

with tension you’ll feel when the channel For the oring contacts the ring. Open slightly and slow pull until you’ve felt it catch and recede. Then loose and voila

The price of pellets seems to be rising so I ordered 10 tins of Meisterkugelns. These pellets have treated me well over the years <12 bucks a tin and free shipping off Amazon 😁shipping these days is outrageous. Even though I can buy 10 meter single bull targets for 5 bucks a 100 shipping essentially doubles the price. If I could have included them with the pellets it would have been nice but they didn’t have them where the pellets came from. Perhaps I’ll check with the local print shop and see if they can possibly print some cheaper. Not sure if they have the appropriate paper though

Maybe I can help see if you can get a better price. What caliber are these , and the weight.

i buy thin card stock and print at home , the thinnest card stock will work on even a lesser quality printer . Nice clean cut Wadcutter holes .

old vet,the pellet price wasn’t bad I didn’t think. About the same as 5-6 years ago. But I’ve seen Meisterkugeln listed much higher The Targets are where you get burned. Shipping prices all most doubles them. If I ordered a couple thousand of them I’d probably be ok as shipping is the same. Beer thief I’ll give the card stock a try. Thanks guys

Just got back from a very pleasant morning at the local range with the .25 Mrod. I installed the Bstaley o-rings yesterday and spent this morning tuning @ 25yds.

Previously, I was getting 16 rds (two magazines) per ~1000psi drop. Today I averaged 3mags with only 500psi drop. Accuracy was unaffected (I wasn't really going for groups anyway).

I was laughing during tuning. Adjusting the spring tension...I started fully backed off and incremented up. At some point the whole rifle started ringing like a bell with each shot.

BONGggggggg!

Amazing how long it would ring! I ended up with a nice quiet 1 turn of the screw in from least tension...and a few one-hole groups (4 shots). Once I get a chrono, I'll work on balance...and finer accuracy.

The cheap Center Point scope is absolutely adequate...until adjustments are required. Moving the POI is entirely guesswork. Sometimes the clicks work, sometimes they don't. Meh. I'm not shooting for score.

I came home smiling. That's all that counts.
