Artemis PP750 has arrived -- woot woot

Hello --

My PP750 arrived from Krale today. Believe I received the typical items included with this gun. There was a fill probe, gauge wrench, a pile of unsorted o-rings and a manual in English. Couple drops of oil on the cocking lever linkage, some silicone on the probe o-rings, and proceeded to mount a Pic rail riser, red dot and the adapter for the 1/2UNF-threaded moderator. The dovetail band on the barrel shroud seems quite effective, and thinking may order a spare for mounting a small light. Or, maybe that's too much weight to suspend from the shroud.

Initial impressions? IMPRESSED!

Been wanting one since I saw AAR's review from the UK last April. I can concur with the most common reactions. The fit and finish is very nice, solidly built, very little plastic, and a couple slabs of wood on the pistol grip, all make for a positive appeal. Peeled off the open sights on my way to adding the moderator adapter, and I found aluminum cones and spacers in the muzzle end of the shroud. That is impressive. Sure they could have gone with plastic, but aluminum baffles, that's a pleasant surprise. There is a bit of gap between mod adapter and shroud so thinking of shortening one of the spacers by that amount.

The magazine runs a bit rough, but from scouring these forums the past week in regard this gun, feel well prepared at tuning that up. The current riser and red dot are going to restrict me to small capacity magazines for the time being.

Aired the gun up couple times and caught the day's last light in the yard. This thing shoots really nicely. Can't define the gun''s accuracy and pellet velocity just yet, but was sticking pellets on a 4" steel at 30 yards, consistently, just standing there.

Some photos below.

All the best, Mark

You might consider the CARM single shot loader...it is really sweet for when you want to take your time and make adjustments.

Got mine up to 685 fps with 18gr/.22 caliber pellets.

All I did was degas the gun, pop out the regulator and back it out the adjustment screw till two threads were visible, reassembled, and adjusted the hammer spring for max velocity. You need to screw the power screw all the way in, then single shot back it out 1/4 turn till you reach max velocity. No need to drill ports to achieve 700+ fps.

Good video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5hmeDDadqg

I'll probably be shooting 15gr Field Target pellets, so I anticipate 700+ fps.

My 3 X 12 Bugbuster, side focus is sharp, clear, 8" long, and with an extended picatinny mount it is seated at the exact distance I need for a clear view through the scope.

I'm confident this little powerhouse will nail any critter likely to sneak into my back yard...black bears excepted!!!

Hello all --

Thank you for the congratulatory remarks and suggestions! I wanted one of these pistols for a while, and seeing how active these forums have been lately regarding the PP750 figured I would jump in. Some photos below.

The TalonP is due for thorough cleaning after 7 months daily use on paper targets and all forms of nuisance animals up to and including, of late, wild baby pigs. Prolly gonna look like a superfund site inside the frame and suppressor. This PP750 arrived just in time.

Looking at the second photo of steel target from my first shots last night at 28 yards, was kinda bugging me afterward about the last few high shots. Have I read somewhere here that there is a rise in pellet velocity near the end of a shot string? Just looking for somewhere to place the blame, as I am the world's greatest shot since sliced bread.

All the best, Mark.

Wow, this is an accurate little pistol. Shot Hades 15.89 gr off a hog saddle for 36 yards onto the pictured 4" steel, single loaded, and am very happy. As was cleaning up my toys, let the kids come out and play, a spotted dove (SPDO) showed up. This is my everyday 30 yard shot with 20deg incline...bird on a wire. Dot on, no holds. Basically, this is what I want this pistol to do, everything else is plinking.

I don't think this gun is pellet picky. Everything I put through it was hitting on. As far as the OEM mag, the Crosman 19 gr domes cycled the best, and the Hades cycled the worst (prolly the flatter heads). Prolly the best groupings was the Hades though. But Hades in 22 is just as accurate as the 25s. Get more test pellets arriving in the mails tomorrow.

Being a right-handed shooter all my life, I found my dominant eye lacking the acuity it once had. So switched over to shooting left-handed earlier this year. This pistol, just my opinion, is perfect for lefties.

And, I got a storage bottle in the mail. A Ninja-branded Gayston 90ci, with an August 2020 Cochran stamp...freeeeesssshhh.

All the best, Mark
