@Firewalker And you're going to do what exactly with all of this boiled hardwood? I fell like I should know what's going on here, but I'm clueless.

Up north here in the tundra of Minnesota, we need heat to survive the brutal cold.

The outdoor wood boiler is a stand alone boiler with insulated lines that run underground to the house, the shop and SWMBO's she-shed.

The boiler has a 480 gallon water jacket that gets heated to 180°F and the water is pumped through radiators in the above spaces.

This is our sole source of heat for winter.

@Firewalker Thanks for the explanation. I've never heard of this. I thought you were processing the wood. I'll have to look up this process of heating a home for more details.

Edit: ohhhhhhh! you're not boiling th wood, your\re burning it to boil the water in order to heat the house. Fascinating!! I'n used to seeing people burn wood inside of the structure. this video explains it well.
