  • We survived a full frontal assault from the Tornado that hit Michigan. My home we learned today will need to be torn down. It twisted on the foundation and was pushed back.
It's humbling to put this out there.
    Thank you.

I just learned that at the very least, the upper half is going to have to torn off and rebuilt. That's a given. However the entire house was twisted 2.5" on the foundation walls. No cracks in the basement walls thankfully.
Insurance is spread thin due to so many claims from this storm. So, I'm in the que to be seen. 1500 just went out for a crew to tarp the roof, build supports to keep the ceilings from falling in and a make shift structure to affix the tarps to.
    It's a mess and I'm overwhelmed.

Have patience, I have been thru this twice myself. Insurance is slow, but they will follow your policy requirments. It took almost two years to get the final payment, document everything and take pictures, you cant take to many !! Get a hugh value credit card and use it just for living expenses the insurance co. will replace them but yoy need proof for everything

Glad everyone is safe. Stuff can always be replaced. Take a lot of pictures, tons of room on phones these days.
