    Coyote Vision

Canines have an incredible sense of smell and excellent hearing. He could have smelled or heard you. I was staked out hunting a fox. There was no way he could see me but when I clicked the safety off, he looked right at me and then bolted. He came back a few minutes later and I dropped him. If...

    Another broken spring

I've read several post about these springs failing and I've seen some photos of the broken springs. The breaks appear to be caused by the torsional stress exerted on the spring when it is released. If the spring can not rotate freely, it must absorb the full force of the torsional stress.

    Another broken spring

Does the tube that the spring sits in, allow the spring to twist when the shot is taken?

    H&N Greens

Thanks very much for posting your results, I'm glad to hear that you're happy with the pellets. Even with the flyer, that is an impressive five shot group.

    H&N Greens

If you're buying from Pyramydair, call and check the weight and head diameter. The most recent 12.65 grain pellets have a larger head diameter (.52-.54) than those I bought in 2010 (.50-.51). I was told that the new 12.96 grain have a head diameter of.50 - .51.

What are considered to be the best springers for under $800?

The Air Arms TX200 MkIII is a beautiful “bit-of-kit” as the British would say. The wood stock and the bluing are exquisite and the trigger is second-to-none. Unlike less expensive air rifles that I’ve owned, the TX200 performs consistently well and is therefore very predictable. I know exactly...

    Lead/No-lead question..........??

I agree with JohnL57, H&N Baracuda Green work very well in my TX200. The tin pellets are harder than lead and pass through is to be expected.

Will there be any other on board pumps coming out soon???

FX is expensive, however, they've improved the internal components of the Indy and made them more corrosion resistant. The Chinese may copy the design but it is very unlikely they're using internal components made with the same high quality materials. Guns with on-board pumps are heavier and...

    Best pellets for TX200's?

I tested more than a dozen pellets and both of my TX200s liked pellets with head diameters of 5.50 and 5.51. The tin pellets out performed all of the other pellets in both consistency and accuracy. Out to 35 yards, using a bag rest, I can hit a dime every time, the TX200 is that good with these...

    Best pellets for TX200's?

I've owned two .22 TX200 rifles and both of them shot these pellets extremely well. I've taken chipmunks at 40+ yards and grey fox at 25 yards. The pellets are harder than lead so penetration is never a problem. Attached is my most recent chrony report, just look at the consistency of these...

    FX INDY

I'm thinking about buying an FX Indy and I'd like to hear from those shooters and hunters who own one. What caliber do you own, how hard is it to pump, how many pumps does it take for a full charge, how many shots do you get before it needs to be pumped up, how quiet is it, do you use an after...
