After much time on the forum, and the help of some members, I'm leaning heavily to a Mk3 Wildcat, likely a Sniper VP or BT. Between now and Christmas, are they likely to go on sale thru FX or any of the online stores? Is it worth waiting a couple months to see what happens with prices or do...

Sounds like the increase in performance is worth a few hundred dollars to purchase a Mk3 vs a Mk 2. Especially when you amortize it over the years of ownership! I really appreciate all the info you've given me from a real world perspective! Trvlngnrs

I think if you stay with any of the guns you see highly regarded on this forum you'll be in good shape. After that it's just a matter of budget and type of shooting you want to do (bench vs field).

Good advice! Thanks guys. I figure if I do get an Impact I'll search the forum for the setting with different pellets and go from there. Depending on the seller, it may already be tuned for a certain pellet which I can continue using. I typically adhere to the "buy once, cry once" philosophy.
