    GX CS4 Overheating issue

I use my GX4 in a hot unconditioned 2nd floor of an old farm house. Filling a tank it gets hot, so once at 130dgr water temp I start cycling it. I've been thinking of one of the small bedside A/C units at Walmart for the intake. Couldn't hurt, though my wife might steal it. Don't have any issues...

    What a difference without cataracts

Had mine removed removed almost a year ago. Knew my vision had been getting worse, but WOW the difference afterwards. Hadn't realized just how dull colors had gotten though. Total night and day difference.

    One way Valve

My configuration, takes a lot of air to fill the 3 filters, but can unhook everything and only lose air in 1st and last hose. Made 1 way valve going into 1st Centrifugal filter, 2nd has color changing silca beads, 3rd molecular sieve. Manual valve, with bleeder, can fill gun directly then...

Tuning FPE for whitetail ethical dispatch?

30+yrs ago(young and dumb) I took a neck shot on a small buck at about 40yds with a 30/30. Deer dropped like a wet sack. Got all my gear out of the tree, was packing everything up and smoking a cigarette. Deer started thrashing and trying to get up, so had to get closer for a dispatch shot. When...

    gx cs4 rubber diaphragm

Really I'm just old-ish and alot of technologies have past me by. I've never even seen a 3d printer. Old school here. Draw out an idea, create measurements, make it out of what ever is on hand. One of the draw backs of rural living, nothing's readily available. But then there's the pleasure of...

    gx cs4 rubber diaphragm

My apologies, I'm just a old Mountain JOAT that follows the KISS principal when repairing things. My fix was free and only took a few minutes. I'd have to consult my son who's a chemist as to whether a food grade grease would have negative interactions with inner tube rubber. All I can say is...

    gx cs4 rubber diaphragm

Damaged mine also. Hillbilly replaced with a piece cut from an old tire inner tube.🤪

Other Big Bore Lead Traps Targets Anyone?

I dump all mulch into a large toat tub, then just sift it by hand. Time wise, I'm relaxing, and chilling in the woods, not really thinking about it. It's a lot easier than working. But don't empty it often, range is my personal property so nothings going anywhere, 21.5 lbs out of this time...

Other Big Bore Lead Traps Targets Anyone?

With mine the steel plate actually isn't being hit at all because of all the rubber mulch in front of it that fills the trap. It was a just incase because I didn't want to shoot thru trap. Mobility to vary yardage, and catching my lead for recasting was my goal. For the most part just used...

Other Big Bore Lead Traps Targets Anyone?

Nice. Wish I could get that steel ringing sound out of mine, only draw back of the rubber mulch. But end objective is reclaiming all the lead. Heating up the lead pot now to start recasting all that recovered lead.😁

Other Big Bore Lead Traps Targets Anyone?

Haven't seen anyone mention making a lead trap target for their big bores. New to pcp's and casting, but I hate wasting money unnecessarily and lead cost money. Got my idea off another forum for indoor pistol shooting. I wanted something mobile though. This has worked with no issues shooting my...

    AEA Challenger Elite.457 Head Aches

My own opinions. Why AEA, simply it's what I could afford it. Best out of the box, my experience and apparently many others, "No". But I knew that upfront and don't mind having to work on something to get it how I want it. In the end the I'll know every part of the gun and how it might be...

AEA Will heavier hammer solve valve bounce. Company sent wrong one

Just an update here to say I was wrong about being sent wrong replacement hammer spring. If I'd included this pic someone here probably would haved pointed out what I couldn't see as a newbie to pcp's. As tech informed after seeing this pic the hammer spring in Challenger Elite's aren't supposed...

    Pellet trap target

Paint was removed,my welding is simply bad, if I can beat with a big hammer and it holds it good enough. My welds only come out good when I lay on back in some awkward position where no one will ever see them...lol Based off a PB Pistol trap I saw, just made it mobile with what I had on hand

    Pellet trap target

Here my DIY Big Bore Range Lead Trap. This was an old 15 gal compressor tank. Used removed upper portion to double wall thickness. (Chain around edge is because wasn't ordering a custom size.) Heavy but can roll to any yardage on my private range, handle adjustable for leveling. Just collected...

AEA Will heavier hammer solve valve bounce. Company sent wrong one

Ok. Just ordered 6 of these right now. Would like to pm you about my accuracy issues. (Don't know how& probably don't meet requirements yet) Maybe you could give me some insight

AEA Will heavier hammer solve valve bounce. Company sent wrong one

Clueless here. No idea if there's anything for this gun Clueless here. No idea if exists for this gun

AEA Will heavier hammer solve valve bounce. Company sent wrong one

New to pcp's. Valve bouncing, company sent free replacement spring but heavier and wrong dimensions. Not sure if worth the effort to make work or just wait for another. This is for .457 Challenger Elite.

    AEA Challenger Elite.457 Head Aches

One I removed is flattened also, just difficult to photo. Good luck. I ordered 6 more of mine, plus the entire end cap assembly, includes internals. Out of stock on valve pins though. I'm just a believer in having the spare parts on my own shelf just in case.

    AEA Challenger Elite.457 Head Aches

Here some pics of valve pin assembly and o-ring I was speaking of wearing on the Challenger Elite. Also of worn o-ring I replaced. I would consider a service interval to keep lubricanted, but have to disassemble whole gun to do so. Would require going back over tuning and zeroing scope...
