There are a few barrels makers that have some interesting offers. Krieger has a .30 tite @ .298 x 3065 14T 5R. I think twist can be set to whatever as it's single point cut, but would have to ask Krieger if offered. The above isn't far off from .30 LW spec if not the same, even CZ for that...

Is there anywhere that has a picatinny to 3" plate or Arca to 3" to use in a BR front rest.? If not, I guess I'll just make one. Nothing Ive found is wide enough.

I'll leave it. I don't have the machining capabilities here to do a proper experiment with that valve assembly.

K, I found the little bugger...good thing I clicked on this thread as I never new that lil guy was in there, very hard to see in the SS version. I never looked inside the narrow end of my new brass one I just installed a week ago or so.

I have in my hand an old SS valve assembly like yours. I can not for the life of me find that 3rd oring.? Was it inside around the stem itself.?

Thats definitely what I would like to know, measuring grooves are tricky. Seems .3063 slugs in a .3063 barrel would be a no go even lubed to all crap & back. I must be missing something.

When everyone mentions .3063 for V3, these are the actual measurement people are getting from the groove on these barrels.? Krieger has .298 x .3065-.3070 or .3075 available in 14 twist, I think in 4 & 5G. I have thought to pick up a .3065
