They fit pretty snuggly in the gun. The cover and center spin freely together but if I pin the center from behind with an Allen wrench, the cover has a little bit of drag. The bolt retracts completely. I have been using Crosman 14.3 gr.

A new magazine arrived in the mail today so I tried it out along with the one that came with the gun of which I tried adjusting the center screw. I had the same problem with both magazines and I’m definitely pulling the bolt back all the way.
