Unrelated to air gunning but has to do with FedEx poor delivery system

Fed ex contracts their ground delivery, so consider that, its not really fed ex delivering your gold, but rather a contractor clothed in fed ex attire and driving one of their vehicles... Secondly, you should be able to contact your local fed ex office (the main distribution center) and pick it...

    Considering another PCP

My personal opinion is its redundant to own too many of the same caliber, unless you have more money than ya know what to do with and want to collect rifles just to collect rifles (and often times dust due to having too many guns to shoot) That said I would more drawn to a 30 cal or even .357...

What makes some PCPs so expensive?

A 1500-2000$ pcp's regulator will likely (historically/statistically) creep just as much as a 500$ pcp's regulator. In some sense you get what you pay for but its far from linear in value imo. One manufacturer may have a 150% markup where another has 300% markup on parts/labor...really no...

    I hate regulators

Both regulated and unregulated have their places. Owning both within the same rifle, I find being regulated is far more capable for my needs than without. Someone else's needs may deem the unregulated version more capable. Simply put this is a very opinionated view, and you know what they say...

    Where Is Our Hobby Headed?

On one hand you have a very strong common ground that powder burners and air guns be kept separate (for legal reasons) On the other hand of the same beast, you have a majority of consumers and producers trying to close the gap to be nearly indistinguishable in performance between air guns...

Skout Skout / EPOCH / Who's "All In?”

This will be a big money grabbing machine. Air heads get excited over anything new or fresh but in reality its all basically the same. Nothing ground breaking here that will force every other manufacturer to follow in their foot steps.

    Regulator leak

Have you tried removing it and replacing the O rings using the o rings in Captain O Ring avenger package? If not try Removing and replacing o rings once more. If you cannot solve a simple leak yourself I'd suggest sending the components to a competent gunsmith... hows that for help?

Tuning FX Impact Mk2/M3 - slower first shot - no reg creep - quasi-scientific analysis

2.84 ID? x 2.62 CS Assuming so, 2.84mm / 3mm = 94.5%, which gives 5.5% stretch. 2.84+5.24*1.055 = 8.52mm when installed going into a 8mm bore? That sound right? Pretty standard fit. Glad its working for you. Maximum breakout friction occurs (supposedly) around 300 hrs, so if you get...

Have any idea how much squeeze the o-ring is under? Its installed OD and the bore OD?

    Capacity of constant gas chamber

Nervoustrigger summed things up fairly well, I will include a visual representation (graph) of plenum volume change and its effects. Each graph is for the same rifle (.25 cal marauder, 53 cc plenum, 19" barrel, .225" ports, 140 bar shooting 25.4 gr) all the changes in the one variable shown in...

Closing the valve before projectile leaves the barrel

...volume. You will need the following formula to get the new volume of the air column that has left your air tank into the barrel. v2 = (v1*p1) / p2 Where v = volume and p = pressure v1 = plenum volume p1 = plenum pressure v2 = new volume in barrel (which can determine % of barrel...

Closing the valve before projectile leaves the barrel

Any time you get over 1.0 fpe/ci you're doing around 50-60% of the barrel. 1.3~ fpe/ci is around 30% of the barrel. To calculate that use http://calc.sikes.us/1/ Although you need to make sure you stay above regulator pressure if regulated to keep that calculation accurate as it does not...

What airgun is only 31" long and is not a bullpup?

    Tuning Plenum size formula/calculation ?

Here is a simple graph with various plenum sizes ranging from 7 CC to 424 CC on my personal rifle (.25 cal with .225" ports) Another way to view it, if you can calculate pressure usage per shot in CC's, you can estimate how much pressure drop occurs in your plenum during your shot, so a...

It's time to define max distance to shoot.

I'd say that depends on the kill zone of your target, shooting at something with a 3" brain/heart, or 1"? Huge difference between the two.. Killzone*.75 would be my personal opinion, to eliminate margin of error, can even go lower to killzone*.5 if its a windier day.

FX Dreamline Super Light Barrel - missing Part ?

+1, too often people sell airguns as a way to alleviate themselves of the guns faults be it from user error or factory, nonetheless I'd rather buy new with a warranty so you can go straight to the vendor/manufacturer for answers, especially for the price we're paying. Not to put down the...

Help me pick out first PCP rifle

If you're doing a handpump, avoid rifles that need OVER 3000 psi fill, ideally you'd tune for 2600-2800 psi fills as that is quite easy to achieve, and in 22 cal most rifles would provide plenty of shots before the end of your bell curve (unregulated) or your regulated pressure (generally...

Silence is golden!! Which is the quietest PCP rifle

Quietest pcp? A broken one. Second quietest? One that shoots a pellet out at 1 fps Jokes aside, lower powered .177's with a fat can will suffice in taking the crown here.
