The power adjuster can also cause a puff during fiering. Sometimes you can just turn it a few turns and the puff is gone.

For me I look at long range as when you have to really pay attention to the impacting elements from the enviorment. When a group opens up above 10-15mm I would consider it long range with any airgun given you know your gear. With my Bobcat .25 i think 70 yards+ has to be considered long...

Iam very happy with mine but it took a while. Many batches the same brand (jsb) hold about 20mm at 50 meters. Now when i found a batch that does well i can shoot 3mm at 50 meters. This batch is labled fx but made by jsb. I would prefer a less picky barrel or better tolerances from jsb.

That is terrible to hear, on such a fine rifle too! Sometimes i can enjoy a little scratch here and there though. Its allways the first that hurts most. I hope you can get it sorted and good that your fx mounts kept poi.

Nice location! 70 yards + is extreme distance for an airgun. Slightest wind can maka a huge diffrence. 3-4 windflags can help to get a feel for it. My best group so far with my Bobcat .25 is 30mm at 110 yards. Keep training!

Thanks Ian. It is not cuz of the shroud is in its way on the 500. If you remove the shroud or barrel it simply screws of. Another think would be using the shorter 400 bottle. 

100% is my experiance, i really like them! thought they looked ugly on pic but once on they look good and i forgot the apperance fast after seeing the quality and tight tolerances. 

I have taken my bottles off on both 4 and 500s with no issues at all. On the 500 you first need to move the shroud forward or take off the barrel. They just unscrew. Be careful if your gun is regulated, then you will still have pressure in the action. Theres a bleeding screw in the bottom of...
