Thanks for responding as I am following this thread closely. What I don't understand is if these were test fired to sub MOA accuracy at 100 then why are there multiple reports of 2-3 MOA with these? What ammo are you using? What FPS? etc.. May help to figure out what is going on. Obviously...
I know the AEA stuff and Challenger (Not LB) are mostly 303 from what I have been reading.. Curious if anyone has slugged or knows if the newer Long Barrel is also 303? I have one coming next week and wanted to check before ordering the 303 slugs.. Have some HN HP's coming initially which are...
Thats a good post and good advice.. But saying that it's very simple to eliminate a lot of frustration off the bat by figuring out your twist rate and bore size. If you have a 1:30 / 1:40 twist you most likely won't find success.. Have a 1:16 / 1:18 twist and you probably have a much better...
I asked Utah this question. In the 25 it comes with 1:18 for slug liner. The 1:16 is seperate purchase. I asked if it can come with 1:16 out of box and have t heard back. So I am assuming that’s a no as it’s been a week of radio silence.
I din't buy one because I don't want to be limited to that one type of ammo, and from everything I have read its a very tight fit and the only one thats accurate, but from repots its a laser with the 3063 Mike
This is basically the marketing and in this thread we have reality. In this case there seems to be a rather large disparity between what marketing says you get and what is actually sent. If any of that article is true they would have never sent the barrels this way. What’s more surprising is...
Hmm interesteding.. SO you are saying the faster twist rates de-stabilize them in the wind? I guess exact opposite of a slug as I thnk the faster twists stabilize the slug more. Mike
Just to clarify. I’m not a patent lawyer. Looks like USA uses first to file. Snowpeak clearly hasn’t filed for the patent and probably don’t care. So FX can take their idea and file it as their own. (Obviously a generalization) but patent law is not fair or simple. Usually money wins. The...
Yes exactly.. I would say this should be like a 95-98% good barrel lottery. No matter how premium something is there is aways going to be a small issue.. Thats completely understandable.. So a 2-5% dud is okay. but 25-30% not so much at this price point. Mike
