H&N Precision Slug .22 - your new option for long-range shooting

Next round. HP Precision on left and HP heavy on right. I may try and slow down the Precision Slugs but at this poly the HP heavy 34 is shooting better. I should also mention this is in moderately windy conditions. So pretty happy.

H&N Precision Slug .22 - your new option for long-range shooting

So here is a comparison between the 34 grain HP Heavy and the 33 grain Precision. Very different. Much thinner and deeper hollow point on the Precision ones. This also has the affect of the head being easier to damage / distort. See pics. Have t shot yet.

FX Going to buy a new FX ? Do it now. I mean like right now

Remember the Tarriff is not on retail Price. It’s on the wholesale / bulk price. I don’t know what the margins are but assuming 25% then the 10% Tarriff on a 2000 retail rifle is 150.00. If it’s going up by 200.00. Someone in the chain is making more money than pre Tariff. Mike

H&N Precision Slug .22 - your new option for long-range shooting

So I got some today in the mail. Won’t be able to try until the weekend. They were packed well but don’t look good IMO. I have to take some pics of the HP heavy 34 to compare as I have 10-15 of those. I guess I will reserve judgement. Mike

I have some of the Maple Magazines for my Challenger PRO LB 30 cal.. They are very good and solve all the issues with the OEM ones. I personally really like their single shot loader. Mike

H&N Precision Slug .22 - your new option for long-range shooting

So fair to say these are the hp slugs enhanced with better BC. They look almost the same so I guess that makes sense. What velocity was the BC measured at? Mike

H&N Precision Slug .22 - your new option for long-range shooting

Maybe you guys can comment on how these compare to the 34 grain heavy slugs. Looks like BC is a touch better as .14 for those versus .11 on the 34 grain HP heavy.

AEA AEA Threaded fill probe and Femal Foster Fitting compatibility

I can try replacing the o ring. But the same fitting that leaks on the threaded fill probe works on the bottle side if I flip the hose around. Which made me rhink It wasn’t the o ring.

AEA AEA Threaded fill probe and Femal Foster Fitting compatibility

I am having some issues with my Fill Probe. Seems most of my Female Foster fittings are not compatible with the fill probe male end. Most leak when connected (i.e. don't form a proper seal) I have one that works for now, but need to get a couple more. Anyone else have this issue ir can...

Thanks. Ya I will Most likely leave it in. I have a few fittings so will try them and see if it makes a difference. If you have a dust cover that would be great. I was actually looking for some options. I’ll send you PM. Mike
