Try them at 900/920 FPS as well.. They are similar design to the Altaros slugs and thats is kinda their recommended speed Thanks for Sharing the Pics.. Mike

If you have a chrony wouldn’t hurt to confirm velocities on a shot strongbox like 10. If you’re shootong at 100 consistently may want to try the Altaros Kikgs Mike

That very true but the King should have pretty tight velocity spread unless something is amiss. Have you ran the shot string over a chrony? Mike

I’ve tried the 218 precision slugs in my Panthera 700 at 1020/1030 and they are so so. The HN 34 grain at 1015/1020 are much tighter. Same tune. I also found the Precision Slugs to have a lot of hollow point MIs uniformity. More so then my 34 grainers. Mike

When measuring diameter make sure you guys are using proper higher end calipers. The cheapo ones are t accurate enough to resolve a thousandth. Mike

So I was thinking. I just got some Altaros slugs and the uniformity is beyond anything I’ve seen with standard pellets and slugs. So this got me thinking. I’m wondering if part of the reason they are accurate is that they are uniform and don’t have any surface defects to swing them off course...
