    Red wolf power level

Max pressure is 4500. The red wolf is absolutely regulated. I run mine all the way down to 140 bar and once below r]the regulated pressure, you notice the difference. Yes, you can manipulate variables but why bother? Shoot the proper pellet / slug and you’ll get about 65 lb at the muzzle. If...

    Red wolf power level

The red wolf is regulated so pressure fluctuations do. It influence bullet speed. If it does, there is a problem! If you want more power, go with heavier slugs for more energy. Going about 950fps pushes the sound barrier and induces wobble on pellets. Stay at this speed and try different...

    12x50 MTC Scope

Thanks for sharing! Have you tried it out to 100 - 150 yds on something like a prairie dog? I love the idea of the wide field of view but wonder if the 12x is enough?

MTC SWAT 12x50 prismatic kind of interesting

Thanks for your feedback! The closest I shoot is right around 40yds so this sounds like a good scope for me as well. The longest will be around 150yds (prairie dogs), have you tried it atbthose distances as well? What was your opinion? Enough magnification?

MTC SWAT 12x50 prismatic kind of interesting

I shoot pigeons off my roof at about 40 yards and don’t shoot anything closer than that. I’m also planning a trip out west for prairie dog shooting which will easily be 40+ yds as well so maybe this scope is perfect?!

    12x50 MTC Scope

Yes, I see these "prismatic" scopes more and more and I was hoping someone had mounted one on a pcp for feedback. Thank you for the thread, I’ll follow it.

Thank you!!! Do you also happen to have a chart like this for the .22?

.22 vs .30 as an all round gun, which would you recommend?

Thank you, great insight! I also noticed that you can’t find really light.30 pellets to dial the power way back. They’re just not available. It therefore seems that the .22 is indeed way more flexible for smaller game.

.22 vs .30 as an all round gun, which would you recommend?

I see that even the heaviest .22 is still way lighter than the lightest .30.

.22 vs .30 as an all round gun, which would you recommend?

I’m looking to get a PCP to shoot pigeons off my roof as well as a gun to shoot prairie dogs with. So far, the best I’ve found is a Daystate Red Wolf with a MTC 12x50 scope in .22 cal. The .22 seems most versificeer as it can shoot very light pellets around my house as well as slugs for...

    22 cal Pellets

It seems that different guns and different barrels get different results using identical pellets. It has been my experience that taking the time to shoot different ones at different speeds if possible is the best way to find out which ones work best in your particular gun.

    12x50 MTC Scope

Has anyone mounted one of these scopes on a PCP yet? I’m looking at one for a Daystate Red Wolf and would LOVE some input or feedback!
