The scope is like new new. The scope came with my HW95 as a package deal. I wanted more magnification so I replaced the Weihrauch for a Hawke 4-12x40 Airmax scope. $125.00 shipped or $100.00 cash if picked up in Chattanooga, TN. USPS MO only if shipped. Thanks, Bill
I cancelled the order for a Vantage and then ordered an Airmax. Having a lifetime warranty is great but I wasn't willing to take the chance a non- springer rated scope would hold up to the recoil of an HW95. Bill
I need more magnification on my HW95 Field Pro than the Weihrauch 3-9x40 AO that came with the rifle. Why are the Airmax scope models more expensive if the only difference I can see is a different reticle design? I really hope the scope is able to perform while taking the pounding of a high end...
I was able to get 4 of 5 to touch yesterday using H&N FTT 8.64's and I'm waiting on a slick silver front bag from Protektor due this Friday. I need to order a few more cans of the FTT's as I only have around 100 left in my first can. Bill
No jag, just thick string trimmer line that was heated/flared to.160 and cotton parches cut to size. Kroil is the bore cleaner I use. 7or 8 patches w/ Kroil to remove the black fouling and then 2/3 dry patches. The patches are tight enough that they squeak going down the bore. I push them...
Group size shrank using the artillery hold but with only a partial left hand, it's not easy to shoot off a bag that way. I guess I'll have to be happy with MOC accuracy shooting bottles and cans @ 25 yards. The alternative is it sits in the corner growing rust. Bill
Yes, the rifle was NIB from AOA two days a go and only around 40 shots so far. I figure a whole can of H&N field target 8.64's for practice and technique changes. Then I'll move to lighter JSB Diabolo match ammo to see what the rifle likes. Thanks for all the hold technique idea's as I will be...
A front rest/rear bag combo ain't working too good for group shooting. I'll try this artillery hold thing next decently warm day but I only have partial use of my left hand and I'm not very steady shooting off hand so this airgun thing may be a big $700 mistake. Bill
