Hi John...what a great story! Jan seems like forever until my RAW arrives but I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Hi chasdicapua! Baxter Walton is a friend of mine and he is indeed the go to guy for Hatsan airguns. He's currently backed up several months and I fear that the RAW will be here before he gets it back to me and that still leaves me without a rifle to shoot.

Crusher, Thanks for chiming in! The Brocock is a nice gun but I don't want to put over 1K into a "bridge" rifle that I'll rarely shoot once the RAW arrives. I'm looking to spend around $500 Vince

    The "RAW" Experience

Gentlemen, My current stable of Hatsan airguns (Bullboss and Galation, both in .177) are woeful compared to a RAW...but what isn't? Should I just grit my teeth and wait for the RAW or is there a "bridge" airgun that I can set up for a reasonable cost until my baby gets here?

Thanks for the welcome! Initially I had reservations about spending that much money on an air gun. The second after pulling the RAW trigger for the first time, I no longer cared how much the gun cost...I just know I have to have one!

Thanks for the welcome! I own several Hatsans and while they are good guns, the RAWs are on another planet. Selling my Hatsans for optics, rests, and the necessary to compete at the highest levels.

davemac18, yeah I definitely have it bad. At one point after putting 3 pellets in damn near the same hole at 75 yards with Ken's .25 caliber, I looked over at him and he had the biggest grin on his face. I reminded him it wasn.t nice to laugh at the new guy! Waiting until Jan of 18 will be...

Thanks aa_limited! Owning a RAW is awesome but what I'm most looking forward to is having Ken as a resource to learn from.

Ken, stacking pellets at 75 yds with your .25 was beyond amazing...I didn't want to walk off with it...I merely volunteered to "babysit" it for you...lol. aa_limited, it looks like we have similar rifles with the difference being the stock.

Ken suggested I start competing in the Heavy Varment class so mine will be in .177 also. I'm getting the Lothar Walther polygonal (I think that's it) barrel set to shoot the 13.4 grain JSBs. What pellet does your barrel like?

Beautiful rifle! I ordered the bench rest stock in wine laminate. It's going to be a long wait until January!

Sorry guys...I had a typo: I meant to type 600 and 1,000 yards.

    The "RAW" Experience

I began shooting airguns a little over a year ago to help practice fundamentals for my obsession at that time: NRA F-Class shooting. Little did I know that after thousands of pellets through a MROD in my backyard would air gunning replace the time spent shooting powder burners 600 and 4000 yds...
