    Airgun Technologies Netvor .457 valve?

Keep us apprised of the progress please. I've been holding out to see how these do even though I've been happy with my other AGT rifles. Right now the Netvor tuned by master tuner Derrick is my #1 choice for a BB.

    Steyr Pro X First Shoot.

My ProX really surprises me sometimes in it's precision capability. It's not a BR rifle but for hitting steel about as far as a pellet should be used it's a great gun. Last summer I was shooting with 3 friends on steel out to 125Y. There were four 4" square fall down steel's at that longest...

    Buy once, cry once.

My experiences with "buy once cry once"/BOCO have varied. I remember a particular time in my life when all I had were inexpensive to not quite mid priced riflescopes. These worked fine for years. But as I progressed as a competition shooter I discovered the need for FFP, tracking reliability...

    12fpe equipment check at Worlds.

Seems weird that for such a prestigious event not to use a higher quality Chrono and I totally agree about the Garmin?! Same goes for the scale. People traveling from all over the world deserve the best possible chance for such things to be nearly perfectly precise.

No coyote today but beautiful scenery.

I can relate! So many times I've gone out and haven't seen much, sometimes a Raven or a Hawk would circle over. Though one time it had snowed around an inch and when I got up from where I was calling to walk back to the truck I saw fresh Coyote tracks not 25yards behind me. I could see where it...

    New rifle Altaros M24 TCS

Does the M24 hold enough air to shoot 12 rounds at a FPE level to be competitive enough at this game?

Athlon Optics Ares ETR UHD 15-60x56

Yep at 15x Athlon would need a much thicker reticle which then means most wouldn't like the reticle on high magnification for target applications such as Benchrest. This scope is awesome for Benchrest because I can easily see 22 cal holes at 100Y in poor lighting and 1/8th moa clicks for finer...

    N/A Choices over choices…

The GK1 along with carbine parts. If you want challenge in the wind get a Steyr LGB1 at 6 fpe. This one is very unique in the way it cocks and just a fun little pcp airgun. One I've never regretted buying. If the wind is low I can hit small steel often out to 90Y using the 8.4's. The ProX is...

    Fat barrel

Ah, that's a good idea to test with!

Out of elevation on Athlon Argos 6-24

Or buy a scope that has tons of elevation travel. There are some out there with 33 mils of travel. I feel for you because I've had this same thing happen so I ended up buying the 1" Burris rings for my 1" tubed scope, and later on got a 30mm scope and new rings with much more elevation travel...

Out of elevation on Athlon Argos 6-24

The Signature rings come in 1", 30mm, and 34mm. Are they in stock anywhere, I don't know. You'll need that adapter - 11mm to pic rail. https://www.burrisoptics.com/mounting-systems/signature-rings

FX Panther no-hype review and tests

Good for you and that's a great achievement! Does your Panthera do .5 MOA at 100M consistently. I bet not. The day Mike N of Thomas Air goes to the nationals or worlds and wins against the top 22rf BR shooters in one of these "all 22rf" matches I'll agree with you. Even he admits his airguns...

FX Panther no-hype review and tests

True in a way concerning a hit against a barrel, shroud/liner system but on the other hand the amount of force it takes to cause a POI shift on a bull barreled 22rf almost can't be compared to the same hit on a liner system. I saw the video of a guy pushing on the shroud liner system of his...

Resources The Heart & Essence of Precision Benchrest

Mostly correct. The HPX shot crazy good for a while after I first got it especially with the couple tins Mike N gave me initially. The next batch I bought from AOA was when things went wonky. Also tried some FX rebranded. Those might have both been when JSB changed their molds, I'd say probably...

Resources The Heart & Essence of Precision Benchrest

My HPX was at 965 fps using the 25.4gr JSB 22 cal. It's the flyers that kill me, as well as I'm not great at reading wind, or BR in general for that matter. Crappy bench I shot off of which might have caused a few flyers, or bad pellets, or combined, who knows??? The wind was down quite a bit...

Other Bintac MCAR (Multi Caliber Air Rifle) 1000 yd MOA Long Range .457 (Video Review)

Nah take your time because I'm just curious. Sorry I'm totally clueless on anything Nitrogen but hopefully someone else will chime in.

    Fat barrel

Most airgun receivers aren't stout enough to hang a Fat barrel off of. Not designed for it to begin with. For most matches the use of heavier guns helps them stay planted better and a heavy barrel is a good way to weight or balance a rifle. Yes, also Fat barrels are stiffer. Someday I'd like...

Let’s see what all the fuss is about ( altaros )

It's the 32.3gr Smooth you want, not the ribbed 31gr, and the Smooths do very well from 885 fps down to 830 fps in my LW barrel 17.7 twist. Haven't tried them faster.

How many AGN members make their own slugs

I sold mine about 2009 for the same reason. However back then part of the reason was a slow twist barrel, not the right diameter slug, nor a well designed slug shape, etc. Fortunately a pro figured everything out with my current swaging system for the Thomas HPX before I got it so no hassle at...
