About 9 years ago I bought a .22 Synrod. I wouldn't trade it as I learned lots of stuff. Honestly knowing what I know now, I'd pick up a Taipan Vet 1. Such good guns and after all the guns I've tried I'm back to it.

I think I've seen something like this before if im not mistaken I think the valve is going bad? But I'd also check the hammer area and make sure nothing got in there somehow causing issues.

The biggest thing throwing me off is the butt stock. Also the scope rail is very far forward. It looks like it can maybe be moved though. Most guns the scope rail will center over the trigger where this starts at the trigger. Could be throwing off the looks also.

That's exactly how I use mine. Barrels on the floor board. I treat my guns the same as I would a firearm. No babying from me they are tools not show pieces and get treated as such.

I have both the Taipan 1 and Evol. No poi changes. I've heard similar with Taipan 2s. R5Ms are also rock solid. Never had an issue with RTI Prophet. Uragan was solid, V3 and Crickets also. Only guns I personally owned still available that I'd vouch for.
