    Why kill crows?

I'm in SW CO, and we get more ravens than crows. In towns, it is the opposite situation. Crows are more willing to be near humans than ravens are. We don't get any HOSPS or starlings near our home, either, yet flocks of them hang around in all the towns. The only birds I detest are Eurasian...

    N/A SSP Herd grows

Have you tried the H&N Terminator, 7.25 gr? My P3 likes them as well as the 7 gr Meisterkugeln and R10. The Terminators are also very clean, with hardly any residue in the tin or on my fingers from loading the gun.

    N/A SSP Herd grows

One reason I chose the Beeman P3 is that it can be shot equally well either left-handed or right-handed. The marketing text specifically mentioned this trait, and it really does work nicely either way.

    Why kill crows?

Paragraphs would make for better readability. Anyway...around my area, domesticated dogs kill a lot of poultry and livestock. You know what the next question would be, but I'm not going to spell it out. Personally, I like crows but am fully aware they can be real pests in some circumstances.

What Airgun would you like to buy new in 2025

I bought one, or rather, I ordered one and am waiting for when the manufacturer's production schedule and tariffs allow exporting them to the US vendor. Weihrauch HW30S in .20 caliber. Still looking forward to maybe getting it this fall.

    Indoor Target Backstop?

I bought the Big Bang pellet trap two years ago, offered through ThomasT's welder friend. It uses a thick steel angled back plate inside the aluminum box. It works great, but if impact noise reduction were needed, it'd be easy to tape a corrugated cardboard sheet to the angled plate inside and...

Who all goes to the trouble of baiting chipmunks?

Ummm, I bait for them in a live trap. They are most active from just after sunrise to late morning, so it has worked best to set the trap after dinner (because in summer they still might scurry around in early evening) and check the trap next morning. For squirrels, baiting a bigger live trap...

    Biodegradable targets...

Road apples (from cattle, horse, deer), if you live in a rural area. No, I have not used them as targets. But they are free, nobody cares if you take them, nobody would care if you shot them, and yes, they're biodegradable. Splat away!

    Lesson Learned...hunting regs

The collared doves do sit...on power lines. Videos show them on the ground; maybe the shooter put some seeds down to bring them there. It's as though they know the laws against shooting from the road.

My new high $ can shooter!

That's what the feature list on the e-mailed promo from Daisy showed. Can load up to 650 BBs in it for a really long shooting session. Got lots of cans?

    Interesting challenge...

I'm also having to address increased rock squirrel activity and population around my home. #1: Killing one with something like your Sheridan is doable. That is what I used to kill one. However, since running off other rock squirrels, they have become more wary than that first one, which sat...

    Pellet testing on pests?

I have considered shooting a freshly roadkilled pest to see what a given pellet and power combination would do. After all, the thing is already dead. The catch is that I would want to do it right onsite, and that would be an illegal place to shoot even a low-powered air gun. Unless it is on the...

A real treat for Sheridan lovers!

Beautiful gun, nicely-done video, like his others. Thank you for posting it. Although I didn't stick around for the cook and eat part... ...OK, I watched the rest of it. "Always gonna be hair [left after skinning]" = char that sucker!

    Sheridan Sheridan Shootin'

I shot a can with the Blue Streak yesterday, too, but 50 feet away, 3 pumps. Every week it gets some use. It is a shooter. There is no nostalgia about it in my case, but I agree that the feel and shape feel good, familiar and comfortable. I also love the peep sight.

    Hornets nest

You do realize that if another nest appears and you decide to skip the bee suit etc because this time you didn't need it, that would be the time you get swarmed and peppered with stings? 😱 Glad it went well but never get complacent!

What was your first Pellet Rifle?

No airgun nostalgia for me. The first taste was in March 2023, a Daisy 880. It still was just as addictive as a childhood delight would be, though.

Beeman HW30s in 22cal is awsome

Charles, back in May I pre-ordered one in .20 cal, which will take ??? to be made and get to the USA. I hope it will be as good an experience as what you have found with your .177 units. So far, the Blue Streak is my favorite gun; it made me seek another .20 cal gun that doesn't need an external...
