    Scope leveler...

The best thing for any shooter and scope is a permenantly mounted bubble level. Use a weighted string (plumb bob) aligned perfectly with the cross hairs and mount the level to the scope. Then level the scope to the barrel of that gun. The mirror method works well. The best way to ensure...

Looking for inexpensive scopes and range finders

If getting a First Focal Plane scope (which I recommend) it does not really matter whether you use MIL or MOA. The reason being, both scope's turrets will (should) click and adjust per the reticle markings. Basically, what you see in the scope's hash marks from the center dot to where the...

Western Airguns All Things Western Rattler 357 & 45 - Master Thread

Yes, I they do seal between the bottle and nipple on the gun on that rough looking o-ring in that top picture. I'd look at the nipple on the gun too. It might need a bit of polishing on the sharp corner if it's making an o-ring that rough on just a single assembly pass or two.

It looks like the oring-to-valve seal is leaking, not missing. You need to degass the bottle and then remove the valve and replace the o-rings. Amazon link to the Tuxing cylinder's: https://www.amazon.com/TUXING-0-7L-Cylinder-Paintball-Daystate/dp/B0B63QGBDZ

Western Airguns All Things Western Rattler 357 & 45 - Master Thread

Longer barrel is better for power, for sure. However, a fast 16:1 twist rate will probably not group well at all, even with a long slug. For a 1" long slug the fastest twist with good stability factor is only appoaching 20:1. The tried and tested 26:1 twist rate is ideal for almost all 357...

Looking for inexpensive scopes and range finders

Make a list of desired qualities of the scope. The list include magnification range, tube size, length and weight, objective bell size, reticle style, illuminated or not, first or second focal plane, cost, lifetime warranty, etc. All these desired qualities should revolve around the intended...

Which lube do you use for your pellets.

Interesting. I've never heard of someone using this (Ford Type F transmission fluid) for lube. I'm inclined to try it now. As your probably know, it is a detergent and was is great for cleaning up sluggy oil in engine internal passages, sticking valves, etc.

N/A On board Regulator Pressure and Tank Fill Pressure Question

That depends entirely on how your gun is made. If it has two guages, then one gauge will be for the air tank fill pressure and the other gauge will be for the plenum (which will be showing what the regulator is set at).

    My humbling- simple as that!

Education is definitely an evolutionary process, in this hobby especially. All we can do is help educate and make better those that come after us.

Thanks for the head's up on the two models. Close range accuracy is what matters, so if they are the same I'll give one a shot and save $$ a for some more lead.

Looking for inexpensive scopes and range finders

There's a "brush" feature on the Bushnell Broadhead range finder that will try to avoid marking brush. This range finder has great reviews. https://www.amazon.com/Bushnell-Broadhead-Hunting-Rangefinder-Compensation/dp/B09W7YR511

Looking for inexpensive scopes and range finders

The Bushnell Broadhead range finder is the best and most accurate for archery and airgun distances. Ranging accuracy .3 yards out to 150 yards. It will work out to extended firearm ranges as well. Here's a review of it.

Is there a good compressor under $1000 usd that will fill 100 cu. ft. scuba tank efficiently?

@Mr.Suave Keep in mind, you'll only have to fill that 100 cu/ft tank up from empty the one time, when you first get it. (Though I'd do the initial first full fill from a dive shop or the fire barn due to air conditioner dryers and good high pressure air.) Also, when using a large tank to...

    Experience With Quick Release Mounts?

@Ezana4CE Check out how I use a cantilever mount on.my Evol. You need the longer front picatinny rail on the newer receiver, and a shorter cantilever mount spacing. Post in thread 'All Things EVOL - Master Thread'...
