    Larger caliber CO2 revolvers?

The Girandoni rifles I believe operated at about 800 psi I don't remember the fps but it was pretty decent for the pressure. I have been wanting to experiment with building lower pressure higher volume airguns, time just hasn't permitted it at the moment.

    N/A Springer power mods tips??

I shoot round balls out of a Hatsan 130, I tapered the lead so the ball half fits in and closing it pushes it the rest of the way in, I also lightly wax the balls with a bullet lube. You can smell it burning but it doesn't add to velocity it is a very light coat. I melted some wax in the bottom...

    Larger caliber CO2 revolvers?

I would be great to have something like this with at least pesting power! There was something I recall of a Remington rolling block style air rifle! the cartridges were the pressure vessel, but it was plagued with problems. Something set up like that with a cylinder like the Russian naganet...

Rats chance in a Shot in the dark

Absolutely! I am not just slinging slugs everywhere, the last thing I want is bad attention to airguns and such. Yes it was a bit excessive! Lol

Rats chance in a Shot in the dark

Thank you, yes, it's my woods running rig but what was the closest to me with a flashlight attached. It was a downward shot that went pretty much straight in to the ground, I was practically on top of it when I took the shot. I am going to be looking into a specific set up just for this...

Rats chance in a Shot in the dark

That's pretty much how I figured! There is so much cover and food naturally and introduced that it is going to be difficult to get them to show themselves! and I am going to have to get creative. My scope has illuminated recital and I have a flashlight with red lense tape over it, not as good as...

Rats chance in a Shot in the dark

So out watering pumpkins at night a big rat came slinking along the shed that they are growing by and slipped under the tin wall where I had suspected there was at least one living. It popped it's head back out looking at me like I am a UFO! So I walk away and go to the house to get my air...

    Hatsan 125 5,5mm hunting

Shot placement, accuracy, expansion, I would go with the softer of the two as long as the accuracy is there.

    Eat what you kill?

I like the young grey squirrels that have been eating black walnut, the fat on them has a walnut taste, cooked in a Dutch oven with some morels or even oyster mushrooms! Their diet is important, rats will eat all kinds of things each other included.

    FX Crown MKII cocking issue

I don't know the platform but if it were me I would start with cleaning the works looking for debris and burrs, hammer spring bind, trigger return spring, surface engagement of sear and hammer, that's how I would start. Just be extremely careful with sear engagement as tht is a touchy area if...

First dove for the .25 Wildcat

My father who long ago departed to the happy hunting grounds, used to say that crows could tell the difference between a man with a rifle and a man with a stick.

    How to Start With Slugs

Sample pacs! Lol. find land and groove measurements and go over by 00.1. does the barrel have a choke? It might like a tad under groove diameter, I would try to start at as close to your best shooting pellets and go from there. Each gun is a individual and will tell you what it likes. One that...

Chamber seal type on Gamo Maxim 2nd gen

I am sure it will be synthetic, I don't believe that leather is used anymore for seals. The chamber should not need much oil due to dieseling and I believe when it does you use silicone oil and not very much at that.

    Muzzle crowns....industry observation

I have used cone shaped die grinder stones for cutting and rough polish on crowns or the little Dremel ones for small caliber. Slow and steady let the bore tell you what it wants and most time it's turning it in fingers keeping it square. There are threads online about coning muzzles on...
