Would love to mount a long arca accessory rail under my Airforce Texan SS 457. Rail attachment ideally stretches from trigger guard to about 6 inches past SS shroud dovetail mount. Hoping to attach arca quick release for tripod, bipod, IR light or FX pocket chrono. Want to keep it tactically...
So it's looking like Airforce Texan .457 carbine CF topped with Pard DS35 LRF 4x50 NV scope are heading towards the finish line. Imo compared to bulldog, AF carbine is lighter weight, more powerful, simpler design with fewer parts, and is US made in Texas (AR neighbor to the south)...
Yes the Bulldog 457 is impressive. I'm wondering if buying a maxed out Pitbull (pitbullairguns.com) would give me the fully sorted bulldog that wouldn't need further upgrades. US Veteran owned business too. BTW I'm a big star trek fan, maybe the Bulldog appeals to me bc it looks like it was...
Yes lots of options so appreciate the help. Prefer but not absolute... Magazine fed, short rifle or bullpup, 4500 psi, 3-5 good shots, $2000 including moderator, 2 inch group at 100 yards, US made or at least tuned n tweeked by US business.
100 yards max. Looking for uber accurate one shot kills. Even with hundreds of target rounds and a ballistic calculating digital scope, I'm still going to keep shots under 100.
Shopping for Arkansas legal 40cal/400fpe deer rifle. Still undecided but leaning toward fully tuned and sorted 457 cal products like the Pitbull and Texan SS CF. I really don't want to tinker with the bits n pieces, prefer a ready to hunt rifle. My wife supports a generous budget so I don't...
I thought the Arkansas 40 cal and 400 fpe regulation was excessive, so am surprised the hear the .457 Bulldog wouldn't be allowed anywhere. I guess some states still think these are "toys".
Dont want to hijack this thread but I'm also shopping for a big bore deer rifle. Arkansas demands 40 cal and 400 fpe. Budget is $2k and I'm leaning toward .457 Texan SS CF or Pittbull Commander. Comments please!
