What can you hunt with a sub 12 ft air rifle at close range?

That statement right there pretty much covers most of the problem. It shouldn't matter how much power a gun generates, put the time in to ensure you know where to aim as well as being able to hit that point. There are a lot of people who just think more is better, but in reality that ain't...

What can you hunt with a sub 12 ft air rifle at close range?

Given that Britain is mostly confined to that limit, and they are taking down all kinds of critters, I'd say the question is moot. We were stuck at that power level and less before the "more is better" mentality kicked in and gave us the guns we can shoot now.

    Daisy Loading CMP 853M

853s are singleshot. The 953 is a multishot(5) with auto indexing. I have 2 853s from CMP and a 953 I purchased from a member on another forum. Plus I have a loose 753 upper laying around that has a LW barrel. There is a manual that CMP sells that goes over how to fix/adjust them that I highly...

    What driveway dinger?

That's the same one I have. Never tried it with a transformer. Haven't had any issues with it talking to the base, either, with it placed in a metal workshop. I can't remember what the recommended height for the xmitter is, but I had to do a little finagling with it to work. It wouldn't pick up...

    What driveway dinger?

Not sure which HF unit you tried. Most are referring to the $9 battery operated dingers when they talk about them. One of the things with setting them up is the height at which they are placed. The sensors are directed at an angle below horizontal. The higher you place them, the more coverage...

    Decoys??

There have been people making starling decoys out of styrofoam for awhile. There was a thread about it over on gta's forum. One guy was freezing the ones he killed and stood them up out in his yard when he wanted to bring in more targets. Personally, I haven't used decoys but, I do use my old...

Al(oletomcat) would like a list of who is going to attend the Fall Classic funshoot so that he can plan the food accordingly. Either let him know through the link on the agn calendar or drop me a message.

    New Leshiy 2 won’t fire

I believe that plastic piece might be a coin battery holder, but for what I have no idea. If it was in the box, it may have been dropped in there accidentally. It's not a part of the gun.

    New Leshiy 2 won’t fire

Mine does move L-R, but it doesn't hang like your's does. I hate to be the one who says it but, if it's brand new file for warranty service. It blows I know, but at this point, it's the better option. Unless you want to order parts and repair it yourself.

    New Leshiy 2 won’t fire

After comparing your pics to my gun, it looks like someone had the trigger pulled and closed the gun on it. The metal finger next to the screw is smashed on one corner, and it looks like there is scraping on the bottom of the index arm. That kind of leads me to believe the trigger bar is bent...

    New Leshiy 2 won’t fire

I recommend removing the mag and the puck, closing it and see if the trigger bar is moving the valve pin. If you don't remove the puck, it'll blow it some place you'll never find it if it does fire. The trigger bar may need to be adjusted.

    Arrow Rifle - Aiming down?

You could either try wrapping a rubber band or some electrical tape around the base of the barrel where the arrow seats. Just enough to make it snug that it doesn't slide off.

    N/A Tell no.1 - vintage? Oh yes!

Glad there was a solution. Pretty sure you could get down to the size of a plum with some practice and wrist exercises :D. Edit- Need to see some new targets;).

    N/A Tell no.1 - vintage? Oh yes!

A very awesome acquisition to your collection. Looking at the sights, the front appears to be dovetail mounted, meaning you can drift it to bring point of aim to center. Couldn't really tell how the rear sight is mounted. Did it jump much when fired? Spring buzz?
