It's really personal preference. But I have had a couple of Hawke scopes in the past, and now have Vortex optics mounted on every air rifle I own.

Congrats! I felt the same way when I first bought my YH. Honestly, was some of the best spent money in my opinion. Mine is still going strong and keeps my 72 cubit foot tank filled with no issue.

I appreciate all the replies. The darn things are just too expensive to purchase in order to find that right one that will work best with said rifle I guess...lol. For me any way. One could easily end up with a few hundred dollars invested in mods that won't perform well on your rifle. Oh well...

I have an AA S510 that I could try it on. I would need to use an adapter though. I may give it a whirl.

Accuracy is most definitely most important to me. I'm fortunate in that I'm not in a situation where I really "need" a moderator. However, there are some circumstances where one could be useful.

Here in Alabama the temp yesterday was in the low teens with a windchill of about 4 degrees. Today it is currently 20F and back in the low teens tonight! Very cold for us down here!!!

Ha! You asked this back in March........but no. I see no issues of build up in the barrel what so ever. As far as cleaning the barrels, I will usually clean the barrel every 300 - 400 pellets or so I guess. But not really due to any degradation of accuracy. It's just something that I do.
