what causes this to pellets/slugs? casting?

I'm thinking that what ever cleaner you are using is corroding the tin or antimony out of the projectiles. I don't think the lead would react like that as I've used lead lined sulfuric acid etch tanks and the lead never was affected by the acid.

    Debit/credit card protection?

I personally would never use a debit card for any purchases. I only use a CC. If there's fraud I let the CC company take care of it and I don't have to worry about someone emptying my bank account. Just pay it off by the end of the pay period. A big plus is you also get points that you can use...

How long does a pcp airgun bottle last for?

We made (cytec materials) some mountain bike handlebars out of comingled carbon fiber and had it cycle tested. It was tested far beyond what any MTB bar would ever see. It went a million and a half cycles then the machine broke.🤣😂 The thing that will fatigue is the liner. By the way the handle...

How long does a pcp airgun bottle last for?

Carbon fiber is way way waY stronger in tension than compression. In compression it's mainly the resin matrix that gives it strength. The idiots who designed that sub should be charged with criminal stupidity 😡! I spent 30+ years working with the stuff. A lot of it doing destructive static...

    Ruger Oil for Ruger AirHawk?

The breach seal might need to be replaced due to it's age but no, as duckfish said it doesn't need to be oiled. Do the tissue test to make sure it's not leaking.

How long does a pcp airgun bottle last for?

Remember, in Europe they use them for 30 years. It only in the US that it's only 15 years and I'll bet there was some bribes involved in the 15 year decision. Another thing people need to remember is carbon fiber does not fatigue like metal does.

RWS Diana RWS 48 cocking arm locked up

So you can't pull the cocking lever back to where it cocks the rifle. I'm thinking pellet jammed also. I've owned my D48 for 30+ years and have had the pellet drop out of the breach. I also would check the anti bear trap to make sure it's releasing correctly.

How long does a pcp airgun bottle last for?

The biggest problem with a CF tank is exterior damage and corrosion. CF tanks will delaminate if impacted to hard but it should be visible. Corrosion is another killer of CF bottles but if the liner lets go the air will just leak out between the fiber strands. I believe the biggest problem with...
