All too often the compression fitting leak is due to improper assembly. When I purchased my Tuxing the factory overtorqued the nut resulting in improper contact to tube OD, the ferrule to tube contact. Attached info may help.

There should be a check valve in the guns fill fitting that should seat when you bleed down the compressor. The valve is malfunctioning/ damaged/ dirty.

I would spray the soapy water around the compressor head where the high pressure line is. Try to see if a gasket or ....is leaking. You need to remove the cover exposing the compressor head assembly.
