    Airgun owners vs firearm owners

I do both. Firearms are my first love of course but since I have 41 airguns I think I love them as well.

    HW/Weihrauch Weihrauch Springer Stock

I prefer the old style stock on my Weihrauch springers. Which do you prefer?

Where do you buy your pellets/slugs?

Another vote for Trenier Airguns. I too wish he sold H&N pellets. I buy my H&N from Field Supply.

HW/Weihrauch Next step up from HW50

My first Weihrauch break barrel was a .22 cal Hw50s, my second a .177 cal R7. I've since added a .177 cal R9. All three are equally accurate. I agree the Hw95/R9 is a good step up in power over the Hw50. I probably shoot those three an equal amount but my Hw50s is so comfortable to shoot.

    HW/Weihrauch Leaving springers cocked.

I keep many loaded guns throughout my house as well but none are airguns.

    Home Range Yardage Markers

I understand. My daughter lives in east Memphis, 1/2 corner lot and when I visit I can't shoot at all.

    Home Range Yardage Markers

I understand your concern about getting the tape wet and rolling it up only to find mold or mildew the next time its used. I carry an old terry cloth towel with me with I'm measuring yardage anywhere outside. Whether it moisture, dirt, mud, or just grass particles I always wipe my tape as I...

    Home Range Yardage Markers

A friend on another forum sinks old brick for yardage markers. Originally I used large washers with long aluminum gutter nails but over time the grass grew over them. The larger ones I show in my posting above I believe will be easier to keep the grass from covering them. I'll touch them up...

    Home Range Yardage Markers

How do you mark your yardage on your range? I've changed out my yardage markers on my backyard range. I shoot airgun off my patio straight back 60 yards. I'm always moving my spinner racks around. Previously I've used tent stakes as yardage markers. My son is a welder/fabricator and...

Do .177 Pellets Ricochet Off Metal Targets

Same here. I primarily shoot reactive targets. Spinners I've bought but mainly spinners I've made. My son is a welder/ fabricator and he brings me mild steel punch-outs from 1/2" up to 3" in various thicknesses. I shoot at 20 yards to 60 yds. Like @Septicdeath said I have heard ricocheting .177...

I never need to clean my barrel -- am I the only one?

A couple of years ago I became so dissatisfied with the quality control of the Crosman pellets that I gave most of them away. I noticed right off that my barrels didn't need cleaning as often. I only clean them now when accuracy suffers. So using pellets that overly lead your barrel you...

What Airgun do you have that you would never get rid of for any reason?

My Weihrauch HW97K in .177 cal that I bought from Greg Neely in pristine condition. He had Scott Schneider (Motorheads AG Tuning Services) customize the mainspring with his guide and top hat there has been no need for any further modification.

Help me understand the reasoning with regards to high end springers

I only shoot springers. I started out with a Crosman Genesis NP, accuracy was okay out to about 25 yards. Then I bought a Benjamin Prowler and I had the same results as the Genesis. I put GRT III triggers in them which helped alot. Then I started buying cheap refurbished Hatsan and Ruger rifles...

    Hawke Warranty Experience?

I have had great luck with Hawke Airmax AMX scopes, I have five on my Weihrauch rifles and a new Airmax 4-12x40 waiting to be mounted on my Diana 460-.22. I will continue to buy them. I've never had a need to return one.

What distance do you zero your scope?

Different rifles, different zeros. I have some at 25, 30, and my Diana 34 with a 40 yd zero
