The 2024 World Field Target Championship Experience

Since other platforms where I've been posting my experience have character count restrictions, I decided AGN would be a good place to compile my day-to-day experiences at the Worlds last week. So this will be the full recap, versus the parsed down...

The 2024 World Field Target Championship Experience

So we finished shooting and as you do, we stopped and chatted with everyone we saw while heading back to the car. I saw Mark “Berty”Bassett, he was shooting in the top squad. He shared that Dylan Varney had held on well enough to claim the title. He had a bad day himself but should have done...

The 2024 World Field Target Championship Experience

World Field Target Championship Recap #4 Today was the final day of the 2024 WFTC. But before I go forward, we must first look back. In 2017, at the Crosman All American FT Championships, I found myself tied and squadded with someone that I greatly respect and look up to, Greg Sauve. You see...

The 2024 World Field Target Championship Experience

World Field Target Championship Recap #3 Day two saw our group take on the white course. It's important to note that they typically group shooters based upon a few factors, but in this case, the initial groupings were sorted in an effort to keep all PCP team shooters on the same course, keep...

The 2024 World Field Target Championship Experience

World Field Target Championship Recap #2 - Thursday morning was the first day of competition. We arrived at the range to check in and sight in, temps were in the 50s and winds were high. The forecast called for lots of sun and a high in the low 80s. Meaning we had a lot of temperature gain ahead...

    Great Job, Tyler

That's fair. More folks watch the videos than shoot FT, so that makes sense LOL

    Great Job, Tyler

Been shooting FT for over 10 years now. Attended 5 WFTF World Championships and did pretty well in a few of them. Have won a few Pistol FT Nationals as well. I've never done the big 100 yard BR comps, probably will at some point (minus the Cup, as someone needs to run that). But it just...

    Great Job, Tyler

Thanks Mike! It helps to have confidence in the rifle and with your gun, I certainly have that. So thank you!

    Air Venturi Speed estimate

Corrosion had nothing to do with it. Long term testing during the development of the Avenge-X suggested that stainless regulator bodies provided more stable performance across a wider pressure range than brass did. Certainly doesn't make them perfect, but they're definitely an improvement.

Yet another selfless contribution to the FT and AGN community

Maybe it’s unclear from Ron’s post, but the BOG sent this to clubs yesterday as their new methodology for rule changes going forward. This was not in place before then. Im glad to see something formalized from the BOG for these processes.

Air Arms outsourcing production to India

Maybe you misread something along the way. The TX200 is not being made in any place other than the UK. There is no "other" version of the gun being made in India that has been discussed at this time. The gun in question is the S200/T200 model, which was made by CZ. CZ discontinued the gun...

Air Arms outsourcing production to India

Not quite, Air Arms is working with an Indian air rifle manufacturer (Precihole) to produce a replacement rifle for the T200/S200 model, which they are calling the X200. The gun was designed in-house, by Air Arms. But manufacturing in the UK, they cannot achieve the price needed for the X200...

Seneca/Sam Yang Is the Seneca Dragonfly pumping system

I think there are a handful out there. There’s another interesting prototype, the crosman butterfly PCP handpump that was shown at SHOT in 2013-14. Not sure how many of those are out there.

Seneca/Sam Yang Is the Seneca Dragonfly pumping system

Sure thing. If my memory is correct, I know Crosman worked with Bob for a few years, but it never amounted to anything that went to full production for them.

Seneca/Sam Yang Is the Seneca Dragonfly pumping system

The pump mech for the Dragonfly Mk2 was designed with Bob Moss actually.
