    "HOT" bore groups opening up

It's interesting that it strings horizontally before grouping. Does that only happen while your barrel is seasoning to the different ammo?

RTI RTI priest 2, has anyone added a second plenum?

Not really a general rule. My totally non-scientific guess would be that you might see 30-40fps increase, before adjusting anything else, with some JSB Kings. But you could squeeze a bit more than that, especially if you open up the transfer port. But that's another can of worms with its own...

RTI RTI priest 2, has anyone added a second plenum?

It would really depend on the weight of the projectile. What you will gain is some efficiency. You will be able to achieve the same velocity with a lower regulator pressure. And, if you are pushing it to the very limits, you will be able to get higher maximum velocities with the same weight...

    "HOT" bore groups opening up

Admittedly, this might not look a lot better. But this IS .177. The bottom dots are the same size as the head of the nail holding up the paper. This is prior to a cleaning.

    "HOT" bore groups opening up

That's why I excused my target in the original post. I have much better examples with multiple 10 shot groups. Just not handy. The knockouts end up making a clean 1" circle, worst case. .178 Nielsen's were hole in hole for multiple shots but would throw a nasty flier randomly. It seems like it...

    "HOT" bore groups opening up

I am usually shooting over a chronograph. I have a pile of different slugs in different weights and diameters. I have settled on the JSB KO in 13.xx as the most consistent. They work well at about 960fps. I'm not getting major deviation when the groups start to move around. I suppose I could be...

    "HOT" bore groups opening up

Alright, I'm turning to the pros here. I have been shooting slugs out of an RTI Priest 2 in .177. This has the standard LW barrell. Not polygonal. My standard practice is to burn a shot to get the reg leveled out. My first 5 shots will easily be .5" at 50 yds. If I go for 10 shots in that...

PCP Rifle Taipan Veteran .25 Long

Selling my .25 Taipan Veteran Long due to redundancy in my collection. It is in "very good" condition. Equipped with Donny FL speed dialer. Also has Donny FL moderator adapter. How did you know you were done?

I shoot cardboard boxes stuffed with a blanket, wrapped in tape or shrinkwrap. With neon dots stuck to it. With a backstop, just in case. By far, the quietest target Ive made. And the pellets don't escape it. The dogs still call me out!

How did you know you were done?

I sympathize! I moved, last year, from a home with open pastures in the back yard, to a home in a cul de sac. I have exactly 50yds to shoot across. However, even with a moderator, all of the dogs in the neighborhood lose their minds when I shoot. Add the concern of where a ricochet might land...

    Cheap cocking lever mod

Thanks for the input. I love my Taipan. Have an R5M platform Edgun but it doesn't spark joy the way that the Veteran does. I've wondered about the Cricket. The Vet 2 is aesthetically... displeasing to me. And the removal of the anti double feed is a deal breaker. Thanks for humoring me. I dig...

    Big News, Small Bottle!

It's a shame that you are getting flak for sharing an opinion. From the aesthetics, it appears they are attempting to appeal to a customer that prefers a "premium" feel. Whether or not it delivers better performance is debatable. That said, MSRP is $449? The Air Venturi MSRP is $419. I'd like...

Taipan Taipan Veteran Compact/Short, slug or not to slug?

I tried FX Hybrids, NSA (can't remember the size), and JSB knockouts. I have a veteran compact .25. The knockouts were the best. That said, NONE of them were good enough to be worth using. I have a high end PCP because I value accuracy. None of them were under an inch at 25yds. Unacceptable. If...

    Any guns you regret buying"

AEA HP SS .25. The trigger was like a scaled down staple gun. The first magazine failed after about 10 rounds. The second, after 30-40. It was very loud. And it thunked pretty hard, when shooting, giving the feeling that it would self destruct within a short period of time. In fact, the sear...
