The only 3 Tactical chassis gun I own any longer .... FWB P70 and a THOMAS long gone. Have these because there unique with the top 2 being POWERFUL as well ACCURATE being just downright cool PCP's. The third a recent acquisition because it folds up, high shot count and works so well...

That likely is a loose statement ( Copying ) being JTS is not alone in building air tube / plenum over barrel designs in recent years. So many are in the ongoing legal wrangling of this C&D order. It was issued from a Sweden manufacturer.

Word Is ... All the JTS AIR TANK over barrel designs are Shelved for now as litigation continues on the cease & desist order from another manufacture on recent Patient infringement issues.

Generally a bad combo in ANY PCP ... IMO Lighter hammers and stronger spring provide a snappier short dwell shot cycle. Quieter too ;)

First thought a loose or weeping bleeder valve. YES, attach a Dead head on hose and see if pump makes pressure

Big plenums used with low power seldom have a tight ES as small sips off plenum may NOT get the reg to refresh but every other shot or more. As such each shot is at a slightly different speed see-sawing up & down with the plenum pressure.

UTAH AIR is unable to provide the required rebuild kit ?

Know nothing of the rifle .... but at such a low reg setting and going down in caliber something perhaps over looked is Hammer weight & its stroke ? Listening to the muzzle report is it a crisp SNAP ... or, a long breathy BOOM ? or, even a rapid succession of short bursts being hammer bounce ...

For those who own them ... Maybe ? Or there was inventory yet to be sold ? If the manufacturing of said rifles is no longer, such would be the parts support for them ... No ?

All my ball hones are many years old and IIRC started life @ 240's, tho as they wear there grit aggressiveness becomes less & acting more along the lines of @ 320's. With using ball hones a bit one direction then the other direction works ideal, as this breaks and smooths high spots or ridges...

I would NEVER SAND to an extent of removing a heavy scratch or gouge !!! Ball hone the entire length of tube I.D. Polish tail of piston then do what ever service, resealing etc ... Assemble with appropriate lubes and your done. Heavy sanding/ honing you have created an out of round tube and...

While not my rifle or shooting it, good friend who recently purchased a Long barrel EVO in .22 sent me this group shot at 100 yards with JSB 25.4 RD's .... Very similar that is telling the crew at SKOUT have been busy refining there rifles :love:

Cobbled it together myself using a shorty piece of Aluminum Marauder air tube & fill end, Machined the breech end to screw onto the male OEM spigot of Reg ( OEM Reg gutted and bypassed ) A definite one off modification :oops: As built in .20 cal at 15" it shoots a JSB 13.73 @ 800 fps for > 20...
