New guy intended on break barrel, going PCP

I mean, springers are forever and so simple to own and shoot,of course, they take more practice and control than PCPs. Don't be a sucker for getting an expensive PCP;You are on the right track though as far as first PCP(y)

    Air Venturi Avenge x. Upgrades

Hey all, So I’m new to PCP air guns - I had a few other co2 and springers, but this is a first. I went with the Avenge - X full synthetic. Looks like you can swap out to the tactical stock. I guess Im getting at which one?? There is a tactical stock chassis, a saber stock, ect. I have the...

    My best deal ! What's yours ?

A friend gave me a new Benjamin Trail .22, he had a hard time cocking it due to illness. I used it in my yard a few times to shoot wild chickens for the grill. Since then my friend had passed and I had sold the lightly used gun to a buddy for $150.00, using the funds towards my first PCP.

    Daystate I feel distinguished now!

Nice rifle, was my first PCP. I have had great results from the JSB and H&N 16 and 18's. Polymags work very well also. Try the single shot tray. Looks awkward, works great.

N/A Do any PCP rifles have a bleed valve on the plenum to relieve excess pressure?

I would think that most pcp with a dedicated bleed screw would do this, because I know that on some of my guns that have the dedicated screw it is releasing air between the plenum and the valve. That being said, it is way easier to just shoot that first shot off. Dry firing won't hurt your pcp...

    Huntsman revere or brk ghost!

No experience with the ghost, but I just got a revere, and it's hands down the lightest/handiest rifle I have. Barring my homebrew 2260 pcp that is. The revere would be my first choice for a walk and stalk gun. The squirrels will be honored to be dispatched by it!

    Newbie

Welcome! The RWS was my first premium AG I bought as a teen back in the late 90’s, I wish I still had it! Lots of great options out there. I think I just bought my 13th or 14th PCP 😂 Brocock Atomic 22cal on the way!

    HFT, Let's get it straight.

Wait for next season when Mass Rifle ****s everything up. We will be hosting matches with 4 classes. 20fpe pcp and springer, 12fpe pcp and springer. All safety rules from common sense will be applied. Any equipment will be legal. Timers will be used. Edit: take as many shots as you like while...

How do you fill your PCP?

Following this thread for inspiration! Ive only used break barrel rifles up to this point and looking for my first pcp. I know nothing about air pressures or how to tinker with equipment, so Ill probably be sticking to a hand pump until I can figure it all out!

Other Have to pick one of these: Veteran , Lelya , Leshiy Classic

I own your top two picks. Simple pick, the Lelya. The Lelya (.22), was my first PCP gun. I've had no problems in the 4+ years that I've owned it. And yeah, it STILL...holds air. I have no interest in the Leshiy. Mike

As a dealer I want tell you the biggest hurdle people have with PCP's

My first pcp was a Maximus as well. When I bought it I knew almost nothing about serious airgun shooting. I also bought a hand pump that continues to work well. I’ve since added a couple Gauntlets in .25 and those pump up to much higher pressure but it’s quite a bit more work. They’ve been...

Gamo Gamo Arrow review, internals, tuning, shot strings, etc

Gamo Urban is made by BSA (owned by Gamo) in England. BSA are famous for their barrels. Gamo Arrow is Gamo's first ever PCP made in Spain. There is no comparison between the Gamo Urban and Gamo Arow in whatever you want to compare them. My Gamo Urbans (had 2) were the two most accurate...
