Like tommyb said above, JSB 18gr can have fliers because their skirts deform easily because they are a softer lead (less antimony). With that said, I now size all my JSB's but found a couple tins that had all shiny pellets which I believe were not tumbled and have more imperfections even after...

Softer lead pellets usually flatten out more upon impact to bone....I use JSB 18gr @ 700fps thru my Notos @ 10-20yds on rats and no pass throughs when aim is at vitals....I do get pass throughs on all head shots.

For shots mostly 30yds and under, an Umarex Notos is tough to beat like greebeans said but if shooting farther out, it's bigger brother the Zelos.

Isn't the Athlon 3-15x50 FFP an ETR and not a BTR.....I could well be wrong! If it is, it has a 34mm tube but is a fantastic scopemat at that price, usually about a grand! I have the BTR Gen2 2.5-15x50 FFP...awesome scope with a 30mm tube, the G3 will be even better like Steve said above.

A Crossman Challenger in .177 if you can find one used or on sale! Although there are many PCP's that are not too expensive that are very accurate. An Umarex Zelos in .22 comes to mind also. Have fun researching and hopefully shooting soon.

Awesome! Orion just sent me a new 15mm RAW mag that is well, pretty darn nice just like your Krait mags! So easy to load and they do SNAP into place, a reassuring snap knowing it's seated properly 👍 into the breech! Glad you were finally able to meet in person, how nice!
