Having a HW30 and HW50 in .177[the HW50 acquired 1st], I'm finding the 30 filling a niche for my arthritic hands[surgery next month on my left]. The decreased cocking effort hurts less. Both are lasers with AA 7.33s but til my hands are better the 30 will be primarily used. FYI,I'm 71.

Had some H&N FTT 8.64s that shot well in my HW50. Did well here at 10 yards in my basement. Any flyers are on me.

HW30 arrived yesterday. Threw a Tasco airgun scope on it and it took about 10 shots to zero at 10 yards in my basement. Now my HW50 has a little brother.

I was on the fence about buying a HW30. Had a R7 a few years back that I sold in a moment of weakness. I then read your post,specifically the last sentence. A HW30 is on the way. My arthritic hands will appreciate it and I'll enjoy while I can.

Weird thing is my trigger had a hole for a grub screw but it wasn't threaded.I had a few smaller taps and threaded it in 4-40. Just the install of the grub screw helped immensely. I'm happy where it's at right now. Thanks for the pics,it simplified things.

Ordered one last week with 20% off. Came today and I cleaned the barrel first,very dirty. Tried it with some H&N FTT at 10 yards. After some minor adjustments it was ok. Had some H&N Excite 8.18gr I never opened,so I tried them.1st shot was in the x ring as were most of the subsequent shots...

I do the wood box with duct seal also. Longest is about 9.5 yards.

I made a tool to hold the spring back,some improvised speed loaders too.

I can shoot 10M in my basement but I'm right up against the wall to do it. It'll be nice not having to do that and the lower cost of BBs besides!
