I have no experience with powder coated slugs but have shot there slugs. I found I needed to size them to get consistency on point of impact . They were all over the place as far as diameter.

An example of destructive Georgia Squirrels. Wood arbor by pool and chewing powder coating off pool furniture.

...slugs were too small in diameter soo I powder coated them with industrial silver got them up in size....The slugs aren't shooting that bad either...super slow wrong diameter super thick ugly powder coat. The powder coating did make enough diameter difference to use.....I learn things every day..

Both style of molds shoot for me both traditional with lube groves and smooth designs for powder coating...That said I powder coat both designs and use a lip lube too...With airgun s you should be fine with your designs... I'm sure with your skill and patience you will.design a mold your .510...

Lubing slugs definitely important... Best is powder coat with just a touch of silicone....

i haven't any personal experience with them but guys using them say it cuts way down on the amount fouling vs a lubbed slug. There are a bunch of articles about powder coated bullets in general not just a particular brand.

When I see people use wd40 on a firearm I just cringe. That crap will gum up when it gets mixed with carbon/powder and heat.
