It's probably a powder coating.

They cast at .302 by default. Using pure lead can push them a little farther. Powder coating is also an option. I've never sized over .301 for anyone yet.

Yes they will work...The lead is a little harder but they should be fine...The High Tech or powder coating is a good thing...I shoot all mu airgun slugs powder coated...

...the headache and slug your barrel. From what customers are telling me, the bare lead slug wins out vs. the power coated ones if powder coating isn't necessary. I only powder coat if the customer's barrel needs an extra .001 - .002 for a proper fit. It's rare so far, but it works when needed.

I cast 358 and resize all sorts of shapes down to 355. I don't see why sizing, powder coating or gnurling wouldn't apply to airguns so long as the bearing surface isn't too great. I bet some of the commercially available bulk buy 9mm truncated cones that are powder coated would work.

Powder Coating works it isnt snake oil..CCI sells clean 22Ammo for moderators and such..It s powder coated from the factory..Federal also does powder coat pistol ammo.. If it wasnt a big deal to reduce leading copper jackets would not be a thing..Powder Coating and High Tech are a poor mans way...
