    Reusing pellets

I cannot find the YT guy who asked if it is OK, and how he reuses only alloy pellets. Sorry. It was really good and genuine. Th initial advise I followed was from The American Airgunner: episode. I followed them based upon their seeming authority. The channel name further reinforced their...

hBN (Hexagonal Boron Nitride) vs fouling

I have been using it for over ten years now. I first got some to use a bullet coating for my powder burners, and applied it by tumbling. Small caliber bullets coated are so slick that they are hard to handle. I really could not see any accuracy improvement or lessened fouling, but then I have...

Air Arms Stoger X10 is very pellet sensitive....

...get free lead by the ton and did. The powder coated bullets do OK out to 500 meters but beyond that if they are still super sonic the powder coating will start to melt from air friction and cause real accuracy problems. Same as the "ballistic-tip" bullets from a few years ago. They had to...

    Crosman Crosman 66 Barrel Shroud

Evening! A friend gave me a Crosman 66 Powermaster. I am cleaning it up and replacing seals. It is a 1st variant (zinc receiver) so 1983 -88. I am trying to figure out if the barrel shroud (if that is that right terminology) was blued, painted or powder coated. It looks blued to me, but looking...

N/A Who's Casting or Wants to Learn?

I'm almost there. I don't have the equipment but do have questions. Does the powder coat prevent recycling the metal repeatedly? Or is it a slag thats removed cleanly during the melt? Does anyone have a link to a casting equipment build, or better yet, does anyone have spare equipment? A...

    Resizing slugs

I powder coat then size. Most of the time I do not need a lube to size and if I do I used a little bit of DIY case lube or bicycle chain wax lube. I have started to play around with Ben’s tumble lube but using it after sizing.
