Taking my son to try a XFT match this weekend. Never done this before. Says targets will be between 20 and 100 yards. What’s the best zero to use for this sort of thing? We plink at 50 and 100 right now and have a 50 yard zero and just hold at 100.

I picked up an Avenger in .177. Pretty much all the info I can find is on the 22 or 25 version. Anyone got some helpful tips on where to start with this thing? Primary use is plinking at 50 and 100 yards so I’m thinking slugs?

Any reason not to get a refurb rifle from them? One I’m interested in would around a 25% savings. I don’t mind as long as it operates as it should.

That’s good info, thanks. We have steel targets in our field at 50 and 100 that the whole family likes to plink on. So that is predominantly what it would be for. Although my 14 year old has finally showed a slight interest in shooting birds. Now I really don’t know what gun to get lol

I think I’m leaning fortitude. I really want a P-Rod in .177. Is there a way to cut down the fortitude to make it more P-Rod sized?

Yep they are on Gen 2 of the fortitude. We have a marauder in 22 that I love so that’s why I was leaning fortitude. Really wish I could find a 177 P-Rod

I think I finally have narrowed down my search to these two. I’d appreciate any feedback as to why I should pick one over the other. Yes I’m sure I want the.177 version lol

I love fixed 10x scopes and have used several on bolt guns when I was active in that world. I recently picked up that Athlon and I was shockingly impressed with it.

Two totally different guns but we have a 22 marauder and a 25 m3 and the m3 is way louder.

Definitely agree they are charging a higher margin than powder burners in my opinion

I would be all over a 177 Notos.

My main reason for wanting 177 is for the shot to fill ratio. I don’t mind going 22 if I can get 60+ shots
