FX DreamTact Compact .22. @30 yards. Light pellet, JSB 13.43gr. Did the brain dead dance for a second or two then nothing.

Hit this boy on the head about 30 yards away. He was hopping around trying to bury a nut. I got him when he stopped and looked around for something. BRK Sniper XR with Crosman Premier HP .22.

Dead center no mess. I don't think the pellet exited because it traveled from head through the length of body. .177 JSB 10.34 gr at 10 yards. It was taking a break from digging a hole near my house.

I have only shot 2 coons so take my comments as impressions not experience. Key points: Minimum caliber .25; night vision scope (thermal or infrared); shot placement; muzzle energy; backdrop and angle of shot for safety of neighbors and their property.

Yeah, expensive but worth it!

I paid more to get rid of them from my attic and to repair 10-15 years ago! Therefore, I shoot every squirrel invading my property. But of course, airguns and associated expenses are high. Oh well, at least it's now a hobby.

I have several FX guns and none have POI shift. But it's only true when using JSB/AA/FX pellets. Crosman pellets go wild every 10 shots or so. Slugs are even worse. So you may want to test if POI stays with JSB pellets. Weights matter too, 10.34gr and 8.4gr are the best.

Thank you! I have only one BRK XR gun but like it a lot. The polishing of trigger components should make it more refined. Your success has me convinced I should do the same.

I would imagine more XR gun were sold than Ghost. So the demand for XR magazines would be higher. I don't really know for certain.

I agree. The platform makes sense to me but the Classic and Pro in MDT chassis are both too extreme. Something in between would be nice.

what caliber?

I have the same gun and love it! I tried JSB dome 18.13 and 15.89, H&N 18.13, JSB Hades 15.89, and CPHP 14.3 pellets. It does the best with the 18 gr pellets. But the Crosman 14.3 is really good even at the highest setting (912 FPS), so it is the pellet I use for this gun. It is $7 a tin at...

.177 is much less messy but the chipper is equally dead

.22 is more than enough! In fact I normally use 177 at about 19 FPE for chipmunks.

Obviously an overkill with a .25 at near 50 FPE.
