Newbie here, looking at my first PCP

Yeah, seems like there is a huge variety of 22 caliber projectiles out there. I haven't looked yet, but it seems there would be a market for "test kits" of pellets which had 5-10 different pellets and 10-20 of each of those to help someone dial in a setup or tinker.

Thanks - I think I'm pretty set on the 22 caliber. My 177 will take out a squirrel at 10 yards if I make a head shot, but there's not much room for error. Anything less and then the dog needs to finish the job. The 22 caliber Crosman I have is a lot more forgiving and even body shots will...

Newbie here, looking at my first PCP

The Bullshark looks compact - one of the reasons I'm looking to get into PCP is a shorter rifle profile. The Crosman I have is almost 46" long (just measured it) and I feel like a kid using a crutch as a rifle when I use it. Heck, I don't think my deer rifle is that long to be honest. The...

Newbie here, looking at my first PCP

I did see one on their outlet page a week or so ago - it's gone now (the one I was looking at anyway). I'm okay waiting a bit though - I'd rather gather as much info as I can before making a purchase. I'm hoping whatever I get will fill my needs for the next few years.

Newbie here, looking at my first PCP

Thanks! I've been looking into things for a couple of weeks now, but even in this thread are some suggestions I'd not come across yet. Just researching this will keep me out of trouble for a few weeks for sure!

Newbie here, looking at my first PCP

Thanks! The Notos pops up quite often when looking at backyard pest control, and always seems to be a suggested follow-on video when I watch something about the TalonSS...

Newbie here, looking at my first PCP

Nice video! And I empathize with you - I teach some hunting safety classes here in the USA, but it's mostly focused around not falling out of trees and trying to make sure people positively identify their targets and what is behind it before firing :)

I am not familiar with the 177 slugs. I'll check those out!

Newbie here, looking at my first PCP

Hey everyone - another newbie here, or at least looking to be a newbie into the PCP world. I've owned some pumps in the past (whatever could be had at Walmart or Sears). Those were mainly just for plinking. We have a few chickens (pets really - my kids gave them names like "Hennifer Lopez")...

    Airgun reviews

I'm just getting into the hobby, so I tend to watch a bunch. I'm trying to determine my first PCP, so I'll read some reviews (mainly on here), then go watch a half dozen videos about a specific model from various Tubers. Some of those videos may be from an online store, others from what you may...
