Ah however I think I misread your original post. You're looking for a picatinny rail to go on top of your dovetail. Yeah I'd still go with BKL.

I can't imagine BKL mounts slipping. Maybe yours need to be tightened up just a wee bit more? Anyway this is my setup and I haven't had any problems with it yet. But to be honest my Magnum is not something I shoot everyday either. But I'm still not expecting any slippage and have had none so far.

I'd use what's accurate in each gun I shoot. But....when it comes to squirrels, I eat what I kill, so I'd prefer less mess. I think domed with any good hit will be my choice.

I agree. I've started buying more Vector scopes and plan to put them on most, if not all, of my rifles. Right now I've got an Orion Pro 3-18x (SCOL-57) on my Huben K1. Yesterday I zeroed at 30, then figured out the drop curve out to 100yds. Love em. And yes their 10x scopes ARE amazing...

If memory serves; yes, I'm pretty sure I get at least two magazines, which is 34 shots. I fill mine up to 350 also. Quite honestly it's been a while since I've shot it, but I'm still sure I get two mags from a fill.
