Mission accomplished.

Filled the 60 minute scba tank up from 2500 to 3k and tethered it to the bottled QB78 .22. Opened the shooting window in the shop and shot at various targets on my 45yd North Shooting range. I could literally shoot it for days without refilling. The gun gets 60 shots per fill just on the bottle...

Don't think I would be interested in buying a new and unfired gun from a private individual... not unless he gave me some kind of warranty in writing or he lived next door.

I could see it being a useful tool if it works as they claim.

So, if you do happen to find one of these "new never fired" gems and you manage to purchase it, what do you plan to do with it? Keep it in it's rare unfired state or shoot the snot out of it? Me? better keep a hanky handy. So that thing about new never fired don't mean squat to me.

I am very fortunate to live where loud guns are not an issue. Yeah, I have a few guns with silencers on them but that's either for aesthetics, the gun came with it or they were given to me a try. Adding another $65 - $85 to the cost of a gun is not something I want to do... especially with a big...

That deal also came with most everything to put together another one in .177 C02. Shortly after I scooped up a stock AR2078 also in .177.

Right there with you on that one. I pick one up a month or so ago from the classifieds as a parts package. I put it back together and modified the included stock to fit it as a bottled gun. My first experience with a bottled gun. I really enjoy the simplicity of single loading and shooting this...

Yeah, new never fired puts up a big red light for me. Just hard to imagine how that would happen.

Made the run to Lowes this morning and picked up the orings... thanks again for the help. Once the woodstove gets the shop warmed up I'll get out there and put them in Scary Mary Green.

One of the reasons I come to these forums is to get the real world opinions and experience of you folks that did the leg work for me. ;) A bargain ain't a bargain until it's tried and trued.

I don't get mad at low ballers, it's easy to say "no thanks" and move on. But if they persist or have some snarky remark then I'd find it hard to just move on. I don't know if I'd call them out in the open forum but I would definitely let them know where they could stuff their offer. Next move...

Watched a video by Rick Eutsler where he just pulled the tubes off the gun and found hard and bloated out orings. He replaced those two orings and put the gun back together and it held air. Just being curious I pulled the tubes off of mine and found the same hard and blown out orings. I replaced...

If I see something I want but I feel the price is something more than I'm willing to pay I might ask the seller if that's his/her bottom line... let the seller decide .. unless it is stated OBO.. then I may make an offer.

Yeah, nothing high end like alot of these guys. And I have some vintage guns.. Sheridans, pre war Crosmans and the like and some metal/metal Daisy 880s. Several sub $500 PCP guns.

Shot the all at some point or another but I do have some that I haven't shot in some time. Some of them are pairs that the wife and I shoot together.
