Airgun Technologies pest control 177 slugs or 22 pellets

Guys, thanks for the input. With the info so far I'm favouring the 177 as it is the lower power option but plenty for the pests present. I'm gonna find a bit more info on the vixen long 177. I'm seeing some contradictions on the internet people pretty much are describing it as a very accurate...

Airgun Technologies pest control 177 slugs or 22 pellets

I was reading that the vixen long in 177 works quite well with slugs in the standard setup. There are also after market magazines i found for slugs from Carm magazines. I'll have a look at those KO MK3s from JSB.

Airgun Technologies pest control 177 slugs or 22 pellets

The prevailing wind direction is a real bummer as it' mostly from the side if i want zero risk with my shots. So we have to wait for the few calm days. That's one of the reasons I was looking at the slugs with the higher BC.

Airgun Technologies pest control 177 slugs or 22 pellets

Pest consist of rats near our chicken coop and estimating anywhere from 12-35yds should do. There a few houses around but nothing in the direction of the chicken coop. Wind is more a factor as wind is mostly almost 90 degrees cross winds :(

Airgun Technologies pest control 177 slugs or 22 pellets

Hi I'm looking to get a Vixen long for some pest control but I'm not sure what to get. I'm not looking for very high power as it is for backyard pest control. So the focus is a lightweight setup and no crazy power ;) to keep it safe. I am reading that the vixen in 177 likes a variety off slugs...

FX M3 first reg rebuild necessary?

Ok put a sekhmet on my maverick and it's 8 bar higher that the wika one :cautious:. I thought those wika guages were so accurate??? both M3 and Maverick had those. Also just as a warning the maverick gauge had loctite on it and a lot. I even deformed the brass on the original gauge so the cover...

FX M3 first reg rebuild necessary?

Ok I have an update. Looks like the gauge for my second reg was faulty (maybe from the begining) Last week it went from 110 bar to 80bar => WTF (btw I set the reg when i got the M3 to 110, found it to be a good setting for the 34gr in this forum). Just to be sure what the actual pressure was I...

FX M3 first reg rebuild necessary?

Solo1, did you remove the set screw and/or the piston from the original reg housing? Did anybody experience any downsides after removing the first reg?

FX M3 first reg rebuild necessary?

Hi, I'm looking for some advice on my M3 because the behaviour of my first reg on my M3 looks weird. I start at 150 bar on the first reg and 109-111 on the second. When shooting the first reg overshoot to 165 bar and then settles again on 150 bar. The second reg resets pretty fast and keeps at...

FX feeding notchy after new breech oring

I had a good look and it's seated all the way round. To the eye no difference in height above the brass part. Took another on from the bag (got about 50) same feeling. But It might be just me not remembering what it felt like new. I'll try "massaging" it in with a box of pellets. Hope that does...

FX feeding notchy after new breech oring

Just replaced my first breech oring on my M3 with the recommended size FX specified 6.35x1.27NBR70. But loading now feels notchy. You can feel when the hole of the probe moves over the oring. Nothing to worry about? Or did I do something wrong? Regards

Great news... JSB has new offerings coming your way!!!

FYI they fit in my maverick magazines from FX and CARM with room to spare. I measured with digital calipers: - the length I mesured is 8.57mm - the skirt at the end is around is 5.62mm

Great news... JSB has new offerings coming your way!!!

Nope from the box I opened the all were in great shape. They came very well packaged by Krale. (bubble wrap & box filling) Also the pellets are not crammed in their boxes, they have a foam at the bottom and the top just enough to dampen movement. no complaints. I also live in europe so no sea...

    Easy to clean pellet trap

I also wondered about that but not sure on how to start melting a big amount of lead and do it in a safe way. I have seen some pellet traps where they have melted lead into a oven tray and use it as a backstop. They only used a relative thin layer to get pretty good result. Sound was like a...
