Daystate Red Wolf Serial number oddity.

HI folks. I am wondering when Daystate went to a 6 digit number for the Red Wolf. Example….RW 123456. I purchased a Red Wolf from another great member here and it has 6 digits after the RW. Keep in mind, this rifle is only about 3-4months old at the max. Perhaps DS is changing up their...

    HFT scope

I just ordered an Athlon Heras 4-20 to perch on my newly acquired Huntsman Regal .177. Based on posts here I made my choice with the above post as one of my considerations. I am hoping the 1 inch tube will keep it closer to the bore axis, and look “size appropriate” for the demure Huntsman...

Daystate Red Wolf barrel change - 2 Questions..

Thanks for the link. I’ll read that post. I am inclined to get the heliboard for the convenience of 12 settings. And, the cost of that vs a programmer. However, when the time comes, I will decide them. It is always good to have the options. Now that I know I am looking for a .25 to begin...

Daystate Red Wolf barrel change - 2 Questions..

Bob, Thanks for a very detailed response to my questions. That makes it easy for me to understand. You addressed my concerns and suspicions of having, or not having enough air for the 25 When using a .22 original rifle. Sounds like Heliboard will be required for the caliber changes for...

Daystate Red Wolf barrel change - 2 Questions..

Thanks , copy your thoughts on .177. If the rifle is .22 HP, won’t that work for the .25?. Clearly, I am asking because I am not familiar. I appreciate your reply.

Daystate Red Wolf barrel change - 2 Questions..

HI folks. I am going to get a Red Wolf, probably in 22 HP. I have a Wolverine HP R in .177. I understand that new a caliber/barrel change will require programming/Heliboard. I also understand that it will require new pellet probes and barrel adapter (not sure what it is called). So these are...

N/A Daystate RedWolf, or Skout for extreme field target and benchrest?

I agree…At least when it comes to the Epoch. I have one and with scope it comes in at 15 pounds. Kind of tough to manage on sticks. That is def bench rest gear.

    Skout Barrel Collecting Lead

I have to agree with what you are thinking. WHAT and WHERE are the shavings being manifested. The aluminum barrel has attributes that don’t apply to a steel barrel. ALso, Skout is very proactive with any problems. I think the OP should contact them. Just my 2cents. RK

    Skout Barrel Collecting Lead

They sent me a photograph of what the fella was using. It is Liquid Wrench Silicone spray Black and Red aerosol can.

    Skout Barrel Collecting Lead

I am going to watch this with interest……. My Epoch will arrive tomorrow. They told me about the Premium Starting Fluid for cleaning the barrel as well as silicone spray for the pellets for lubrication purposes.. I personally am NOT going to spray the pellets directly with the silicone, but...

Making friends at the rifle range!

Atta boy….that’s the way to “enlighten” others. I love hanging the golfs balls with fishing line in front of the wooden backstop. So easy to see the ball, and even more easy to see when it’s been HIT. Thanks for sharing your gear with fellow shooters.

What is the best magnification scope for ranging F/T.

Hi and thanks for the reply and loads of information. You are Correct, I have and will be using a Daystate Wolverine R in .177. I may just try using what I have and see where I will need to improve to be competitive. I once knew, but had forgotten about the “no touch” the turrets. Thanks...

What is the best magnification scope for ranging F/T.

Hi folks. I am wondering how much magnification I should use to properly range for F/T. I have thought that 50x would give me the most accurate ranging. I currently have a 4-18 and only shoot benchrest. I haven’t shot the F/T, because of the ranging. If some of you can enlighten me, set...

    Pic rail for Daystate Wolverine??

I am wondering how to attach a small Picatinny rail to the bottom of the fore end of a DS Wolverine. I want to be able to attach a bipod. From looking at the small space between the fore end and bottle, I am not sure this is something you can do. If anyone has done this, I would...

    Rangefinder Options

Hey folks, I am looking for a rangefinder and am wondering what you like the best about what you are using. I recently saw a YT on the MTC Rapier. Providing hold over info based on conditions was interesting. It looked pretty cool, but it’s 4 year old technology now. Is there anything out...

    Making New Targets

That is a lot of printed targets in your setup. Pretty cool. A friend and I were shooting peanut M&Ms off golf tees at 35 yards. To be honest, those weren't much of a challenge. But when all the M&Ms were gone we started on the standing golf tees. Those were indeed a challenge. But, a...
