The only gun I'd buy in that price range new would be the BSA R10 SE from AOA. Really nice guns and good barrels. Other than that used market is all I would go for in that price range. Taipans, Crickets, Uragan Gen1s, Daystate Regals/Revere, Royales, BRK XRs, I'm sure there are others but...

I have 2 2-12x24, a fixed 10x, a 4-16x44 and 4-20x50. Sighting in I use max magnification. On my 2-12x24 are shorter range pesting guns and usually set around 4-6x out to 50yds. My others usually around 10-12x for longer ranges pesting.

Got my DFL adapters and looks great on the gun now. I should be getting the Pugio tomorrow. Really looking forward to it.

I'm surprised you find the barrel floppy. However I'm sure the extra 150mm over the 550mm I had makes quite the difference. I never noticed any vibration in mine but makes sense with how the whole barrel and scope mount is setup and with a longer barrel pushing higher power would show it more...

Barrel bands? That's interesting. One of the big points about them was the free floating tensioned barrels.

Yeah it came that way which was nice. And scope is the Discovery 2-12x24. Great scope for compact guns.

Yeah that's a good idea. We have 2 daughters but just had a son so not sure id do one of my nicer guns that way. I guess I can get them something like a red Ryder to start and let them paint it to how they would like it. That's a fun idea

Yeah I agree the clear coat made it darker and I like it alot more.

I can't help you there but I would at least get the parts to have in case you ever would. Believe they're "under warranty" so I'd just get them anyways. Then later if you want to youll have them.

Decided to do a few coats of a satin clear coat I had as the flat paint was too chalky. Also darkened the color some which I like better.

Looks great Tommy! Yours really seems to like those JTS pellets! Both my Vet Long and the Vet2 preferred the JSB 20.83gr over the AEA 21.9gr and JTS 22.07gr. I wish they did with the superior BC but they at least yours likes them alot.

Will say I sighted my Long in with them today and shot about 10 birds and wow the pop is amazing on these things. Will likely just use them for the most part.

I got it together tonight and think it looks really nice. I have a DFL LDC adapter coming which I'll leave black along with a Pugio I'll swap between this gun and my Long. It should look nice all together.

There we go! Love that look! I just did the stock on my Mrod but looks much better with the shroud done also. Just ties it in better.
