Yes, it does say in the description the illumination isn’t working. I’ve never used the illumination on mine but now I want to try it. People sometimes leave batteries in all their optics. I just think it’s a bad idea to do that generally.

Thanks. It’s old and I’m thinking of putting a garden in and growing some veg and herbs. Like the idea of using the hole/cup for the Caldwell. I’m looking at those Caldwell turrets but that cheap plastic rest works great for what it is.

I think that’s what this is, with the gauge under the stock, bolt action. I’d bought it for around $350 originally-reminds you how much enjoyment can come from simple things. Full disclosure, it won’t stop me from roaming the classifieds and new releases because let’s face it, it’s “all” fun.

It’s not just the magazine itself, it’s the ergos of how the magazine gets inserted into the rifle. Mine hasn’t jammed, it just takes too much fiddling to insert. That, itself can lead to the cover plate not staying put.
