Half of my guns shoot below 700. I find no tumbling. But the way I see it that speed is not practical for over 30 yards or so, which is why I run wadcutters in those guns. 10 meter guns always shoot slow, 400-600 with extreme accuracy. It is harder to stabilize pellets speeds above 900. Search...

Forget about numbers, they add up to nothing. Find accuracy, then see if there is room for more power. I try to get everything 850-900 for pellets, except of course my dedicated wadcutter guns.

Indeed jps, the inexpensive ones that I have a way more accurate than me. It’s fun because see measurable improvement over time.

That looks normal to me. Both my 30 and 95 are like that. Could it affect accuracy? Sure, but I have much more play in me than that. Meaning iron sights are not precise enough for me to notice. I run peep sights on mine.

In .22 the R9/HW95 will shoot around 700+ depending on the pellet.
